This was truly what I thought. I just love how this man loves music so much he gave up his free time at hotel after exhausting concerts and gave up hanging out with friends during his days off to make this mixtape in 4 freaking years. Everyone knows how tight and hectic BTS schedule is. He could have gone to bed and relax after an insanely busy day, but he chose to work a little more to finish this mixtape. Words cannot describe how hard this man worked, yet he released all this FOR FREE, because he also loves Army a lot.
Now I want to fight with everyone who thinks that Yoongi is lazy. Armys, please never take their dedication for granted.

I'm not even a fan of BTS. But when I heard 'Daechwita', I got so shocked, I mean I never heard any Korean rappers who curse and express themselves so much. I'm from South Korea, and Agust D is so cool. I can't even describe him without getting my lips parted. I'm in my 20s by the way, so it's kinda my first time hearing an idol spitting this kind of bars.

Honestly after listening and reading the lyrics to Honsool I really hope that Yoongi is truly happy despite their hectic schedule and that he still finds time to himself so that he can be at peace and just be happy. Because this man deserves everything that he wants and most importantly a happy life

But you can hear in the V live he did after D-2 came out that he was really happy that his mixtape was finally released and that people liked it.

Flashbacks to D-2: HE RELEASED THE ALBUM THE NEXT DAY SURPRISING ALL ARMY’s.
I know! I didn't even know he was releasing something until the day he released Daechwita and then I woke up and the whole album was out! I was so happy.
Anonymous Person I was literally so surprised. In the Taegi live he literally said it wouldn’t be out for a while. At that time I made a comment on omuriceu’s YT post about D-2 that said: it will come out in a couple of days. Then the next morning she replied to my comment saying it was out today and my friends on my Kpop Discord server were talking about it and I was like WHAT? Then I binge listened to the album and realized Daechwita was made for the Yoongi cult.
I really like the fact that he is so sincere to himself. The album in itself is a masterpiece. He has worked so hard on it but he made it available for free. We as fans just want to give him all the love he deserves through the songs charts and everything, I just hope he knows that. All the love to all the ARMYs and Agust D himself for all the achievements. Fighting✊💜

Yoongi is him, SUGA is his personality when he's with the group, and AGUST D is his alter ego as a rapper, or a character that Yoongi created to represent another face of his. Basically Yoongi, SUGA and AGUST are like 3 different personalities in one person. The difference between AGUST and others, is that AGUST is the space where Yoongi can free himself and talk about what he wants and make the music he wants without limitation, where he can talk about his insecurities, fears, problems, and also, boast about the artist he is and his Shameless achievements, basically Yoongi empowers himself through AGUST. In general, AGUST is much more aggressive in terms of lyrics and rap, he is brutally direct and shameless when speaking, he can lets out even the explicit language, it is also where he exploits his potential as a rapper, composer and producer, and plays with his rap. He is someone completely different artistically. He is a character without filters, without scripts, without ties, it is only Yoongi's way of showing another side of him.

The fact that he released this whole mixtape for free especially when he worked so hard on each and every one of the songs is so touching. He could easily have made so much money out of this yet he chose to drop the album for his own satisfaction and for the fans, idk but just that part made me think about how selfless he actually is despite the sort of arrogant tone in some songs.

i love how talkative he gets when he's talking about something he's passionate about -- he always has such interesting perspectives to share
The fact that this is all free, and made purely out of passion, is so powerful. It's one thing to use up your time and energy, but to also spend that much money on an MV, money that you'll just never get back - that speaks volumes. Sure, I know he can afford it, but still! There's not many people in the world who would do something like that, even if they could.
Yes thank you for bringing this up and western people def need to know and realize that BTS are not their typical type of artists.
And what is even more nice is army choosing to buy it anyway on Itunes just to make the songs/album top the charts and break records. D2 has achieved 84 #1 on Itunes so far and Yoongi is the only korean solo artist to ever chart in the top 100 of the UK official album chart 💜

I really appreciate that he gave his thoughts on the mixtape through this interview, I was waiting for this.
The lyrics really show what he is thinking and feeling as a 28 year old, they are very deep and meaningful.
I can assure you that I indeed went 'WOW' when I saw this masterpiece of a MV and heard the other songs. I also think it's great that he collaborated with different artists and chose different styles and genres. For me 'people' is definetely one of my favs. Many will enjoy this mixtape.

That’s what I like about SUGA. So talented and passionate. Not only creating new types of songs, genres that he’d never touched, but also giving it out FREE, just because he wanted everyone to hear his songs. I just found this interview from 2 years ago with SUGA , and I must say...I never was into rap or hip hop until say, 3years ago, with my then discovery of what BTS was all about. I'm an elderly adult in my late 60s and have always had an eclectic Playlist of songs from who knows when, to the present. I love to keep up with the times. Now, about SUGA aka AgustD....I love his rap songs!!!! His rap carries a lot of depth into his being...one could follow his pains & struggles & his emerging outlook on what his life is coming to. I can't get tired of listening to 'People', 28', ' Moonlight', etc & of course, the opus magnum...' Daechwita', along with the rest of his album line up. Amazing talent!! I'm looking forward to more from SUGA....may success after success follow him throughout.

It's so interesting to just be able to hear a little bit of the thought process behind something so personal as a solo album. It helps me listen to the whole album in a different light, kind of like I'm searching for what he pointed out and seeing how that makes me feel.
Honestly, I think Suga is one of the few rappers who's rapping is FIERCE and SURPRISING and it's amazing because he doesn't incorporate inappropriate subjects such as sex etc. Literally NO rappers do that here in America and that's why I really like Suga's music. I honestly hate rap unless it's Suga, J-hope, and RM, period.

I would like to describe Agust D’s music as more like early styles of rap because he is expressing himself and his experiences, using real words that make sense, uses his writing and poetry as a tool to speak to others, and put his heart and soul into it. So long story short, saying you like Agust D’s music is actually celebrating the original style of rap that black people have made. 👍
