Man last time i went fishing there I was like 15 or 16 years old, now all my dad wants to do is fish either at the Siletz River which we never able to catch anything, we have had fish on but never been able to get them in the boat, or he wants to go fishing at the Newport Bay, which I cant do I get sea sick every time we went into the Ocean, I rather fish off of a Land or be sitting in a lawn chair while fishing, insted of in a Boat, I also live in Albany so next month I will go fish at Waverly park again but by my self.
Totally understand the sea sickness because we know several people who can't go out into the ocean without being miserable. Better luck on the Siletz, and sure you'll start landing some fish. We're glad you'll be going to Waverly next month. We hope you catch a big one! Keep us up to date and let us know how you're doing. 🤙
I sure will, I also am a RUclipsr but I'm known for doing Video Games, though I do some times put some things that I'm doing with my life on my channel, but I thinking of making a New Channel for my life out side of Video Games, which would make it my 3rd Channel, my other channel Is about my Rabbits, I breed Show Rabbits as well for a hobby :). Oh also whats the biggest Trout you have ever cought in Waverly?
Those were some big ole rainbows! Not sure the bigger ones are that good eating but would be yummy smoked! Your wife is quite the fisher woman. Thanks much for sharing your video.
I think the reason my Dad Refuses to go fishing at any of the Lakes or Rivers in Albany is because he Believes the Fish are not Healthy and are coming from Waters that are Paluded and that the fish will make us sick if we eat them.
Well, he definitely is right that the fish from the rivers at the coast are much cleaner. We're not experts on the health of rivers or fish around the Albany area or anywhere really, but we sure do like catching the big Brooders. We actually don't eat them either and will give them away or use as crab bait.
Wow Nice fish! I tried all last week once I heard about the stocking. Is there anywhere online to find the stocking info? Hoping to get there quicker next time
Unfortunately, they don't post Brooder stocking directly. The "Recreation Report" which is a link found on the "Oregon Trout Stocking Schedule" website will give you a lot more actual up to date information, however. They won't list Brooders on the actual stocking schedule unfortunately to avoid overcrowding/people following the trucks. They are pretty consistent year to year with locations and schedules when it comes to Brooders so it's more about just following that pattern and or hitting several lakes and finding which body of water got stocked. They should be putting in at least 1, maybe 2 more into Waverly and good bet that Timber Linn, St. Louis, Walter Wirth, etc should be getting some more soon as well. Good luck!
Theirs bass in there that still remember me 😂 Good carp. Lots of nice trout from both spillways too and bass. Key tip: fish the whole lake. Like up by Napa by Swan. The creek. Spillways on both sides. The bridge hole slaps Under the trees below the parking area is always decent especially for panfish and small bass. Trout when it’s happening Also cox creek flows to Simpson pond and that place has dinosaurs 🦕

@@Android18Gamer super cool! I think biggest at Waverly was around 10 lbs.
Try Salmon River on hwy 101 by Lincoln city! Chromers
@@robertnolan1463 Definitely something we want to do. Just was at the coast yesterday and saw people fishing it on our way home. Looks great!

Definitely agree they are not the best eaters! Smoked, give away, or crab bait!
Appreciate it!
What a fun time of year so pretty out there and great catch !!! Let’s go !!!
Going to hit them hard the next few months!
Heading there tomorrow
Good luck!
@@northwestweekendersthanks
@northwestweekenders sadly no bites but I'm headed back there on saturday
@@chmanderx7849 Oh man! I know they're in there. Did you see them boiling or jumping or laying in the shallows?
What were you guys using for boat
Just powerbait on bottom with a carolina rig, 3-4 foot leader.
What were you using?
Garlic powerbait
@@northwestweekenders how long is your leader?
@@Jb_hunting234 3-4 feet.
Beautiful lake. I didn't know about brooders or their season
Yes. One of our favorite times of year (mid November- January)
MONSTERS!
Fun time of year!

Waverly had over 10,000 gallons of sewage spilled into it not that long ago!
@@robertnolan1463 We didn't realize that. Gross! Thanks for letting us know. Thankfully we don't eat the fish. Either give them away or Crab bait.
I need to get back at it. I'm thinking about it tomorrow
Do it!
Good catch! Are they pretty tasty? I haven't had any in the past.
Not in our opinion. Aren't great eating typically but we'll give them others who enjoy them or use them as crab bait!

@@PNW_Adventures1 Thanks Josh! Great info and appreciate it. We'll definitely try for some other species out there.
It will say Trophy Trout
No doubt!
Did they just stock that lake with brooders?
Yes, last week!
I don’t understand how people know. Please let me know
Do you really need pole holders if the Trout are on ? lol
No, not really. We're just extra sometimes 😆
You guys those are the fattest trout I’ve seen lol😂 what is your go to recipe to cook them?
They aren't the best eating from our experience so we'll give them away or use them as crab bait!

@@SuperiorGeminis Just a lot of fun fighting those suckers!
