In mah view may be there was always a ice between hinduism and other foreign religions...each of the sections tried to save and reform their own. Again the union feelings was missing and then like the woman organisation and low caste movements the muslim women aur any great leader from that society never emerge to change anything within them to bring reform rather they were more focused on conversion like Christians but Christians missionaries did a good work changing overall social ills borrowed from relegion except from conversion.
