Hey Johnny, in England there's a chain called ziferblat which is tagged as an anti-cafe. You pay per minute and get free food and drink. I've been to a couple of them and although a lot of people are there to work, there's still the problem of some people going there to have conversations and even worse, people who bring their screaming kids and lets them around. This one looks a lot more business focused.
Clock Face =) Great name. I like the idea of the pay per actual time used, but I also wonder if knowing i'm getting changed per minute would drive up anxiety like watching the taxi meter run up. =) But i'll check out the one in Kiev. Sorry to hear the one in England people are using it for a playground, that's rude of them.
Really cool.....thanks for sharing. I like the concept....many times I feel like I don't get my moneys worth at traditional coworking spaces. I'd love a place like that. I haven't seen any like that in Latin America.
I know what you mean. I love coworking spaces, but if I just need to do some light work that month and don't plan on working 4+ hours a day, I normally just work from cafes. But with this, it's a good alternative.
seems like a really cool space to work from. sometimes you just need a few hours to get stuff done, doesnt make sense to pay for full days. hope more spaces make the transition
Agreed. I was there for 2 hours today, not even looking at the clock and it was exactly enough time I needed to do all of my work, check facebook on my laptop, and even edit and upload this video!
They have them in some other cities in the world, e.g. Kharkov, St. Petersburg (Russia), and London. The main problem with such places is the mostly awful chairs, which are OK for one or two hours, but not if you need to get several hours of work done. In co-working spaces, they generally have office type swivel chairs that tend to be much better suited to working for long hours.
Looks like a cool concept. Thanks for sharing the video. I've never seen anytbi g like this. I think it would be great if this could spread to other areas.
Chiming in way late here, but yes, here in Montreal. HUGE one on St-Catherine street, 2 floors, and an Anti-cafe "loft", right next door, which is 24 hrs. Owned by a very nice Russian couple. It was the first time I'd ever heard of the concept. They somehow made it through the pandemic, because they qualified as a co-working space instead of a cafe, so they did t have to close.

Just googled them and they have headquarters in Ukraine!

@@JohnnyFD haha yeah it does feel a bit like that! it also allows you to be extremely strategic with your time there though.

I agree! I think it's an awesome concept!
Have you ever heard of an Anti-Cafe? Where?
