My dear old Saluki, Stormy, was known to howl a bit like this occasionally. Mostly in the middle of the night. Doubt the neighbours saw the humour. RIP Stormy.

Today I also have longhaired minidachshund 7 years old named Nessie. She came to live with us two years ago. With me and my saluki Tessy, 8 years. They get along just fine.

That's due to the deep chest. Mine used to say, "a-woo, woo, woooooo". A sound I never tired of hearing. I sure miss that good dog.
