Hi Tim, yes you need the Customize Application permission to do this. I don't believe individual users can change their homepages for themselves. The changes will happen either for the entire org, anyone using the app or for combinations of app and profiles depending on how you activate the page. Hope this helps! - Farah
That's a great question! The App Manager is where you create/edit apps and the Lightning App Builder is where you create/edit lightning pages (ex. record pages, home pages, app pages, etc.). I hope that helps! -Farah
@@signiforce can I just ask you how you add products to your org the first time? The out-of-the-box package is empty and when you click 'add products' there is nothing to choose :(
This trailhead modules walks you through how to create and customize products, how to add products to opportunities, and how to grant access to products: trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/projects/manage-products-prices-quotes-orders Hope this helps! -Farah
I tried adding an image through Rich text editor on my homepage component. It shows up for the user that adds it to the homepage component but not for all the other users in the org. Instead when other users log into the home screen they see the component as an error message that reads, " image not available. This image is not available because: you don't have the privileges to see it, or it has been removed from the system ". Any advice?
I'm addicted to these videos.

Do you need to be SF Admin to do this? What capabilities do users have for customization?

whats the difference between app manager and app builder and when do you use one or the other?

Hi Dandelion,
My hunch is its a permissions issue but I'm not able to replicate your error. Perhaps try asking in the Trailblazer community.
