- Everyone enjoys a good HR Derby, and everyone loves the old sluggers from the '90s and 2000s. So why not combine the two with a great Old-Timer's HR Derby!
Let's get sports card collecting hobby stars like Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Mark McGwire and five others together for this star-studded event, which we would want sponsored by Juicy Juice, of course!

I remember watching the old Home Run Derby show as a kid somewhere, as well. I believe it was the first time I heard speak this guy Mantle I kept hearing about.
I don’t know if this was the Florida league of old timers to which you were referring, but I know Topps made a “Senior League” set for a couple years (maybe 89-90 if I recall correctly). Anyway, thanks for sharing.
Yessss! I believe that’s when it was. I thought it was a little earlier, but I’m pretty sure that’s when the Senior League happened.

THAT would be awesome! But I doubt you’d get guys like Bonds and McGwire, who have tried to shake the Steroids thing, to want to do it.
@@DavidGonos I fired up The Show on my Xbox, and checked out the Home Run Derby on there. Of your 8, I can only find McGwire, Palmeiro and Sosa
So, I like Juicy Juice, think you can say the lineup is juicy and you can say maybe the contestants are "juicing" as I believe everyone you included had some form of allegations against them. Give me Bonds for the win, saw him in an interview recently and he still looked like he could hit.
Yeah, that’s what I was trying to imply, but I guess my winking, and the sponsor and such didn’t really make the joke land, considering the comments I’ve already gotten, saying I should have Griffey and Big Papi on there. Haha
@@DavidGonos I am trying to remember if Big Papi was on one of those lists at one point or not, lots of allegations were thrown around back in that day.
