Which minifigure in this series is YOUR favorite? If you haven't seen my review of the full D&D set, you can find it here: ruclips.net/video/LfCtCIgCibk/видео.html One of my favorite sets of the year!
Druid, Dragonborn, Mind Flayer (Doctor Who's Ood :) ) and Szass Tam. Without Master of the Mountain and the Ideas set, I probably wouldn't have heard of D&D, but I like about all the minifigures.
Honestly, I really wanted to play this Game! I even came up with the Setting World of Aenudaras for playing "D&D", and also created My own squad! The squad includes the Human Paladin Arkon Korunt, his Half-Elf Wizard Brother Glar Amakkir, as well as their Sister, the High Elf Priestess Loraera Kor'amarir, their friends, the Dragonborn Barbarian Drogor Ogornor, the Halfling Rogue Froori Begrit, and also the Forest Elf Ranger Theia Lirotri, Mountain Dwarf Warrior - Gyrog Duronite and Tiflingsha - Bard - Zaderis of Art!
Mkay, so when I was just starting out, I looked through the monster manual, and instantly fell in love with EVERYTHING mindflayer Not surprisingly, my favorite fig is the mind flayer
this is probably the first minifigure series where I wouldn't mind getting doubles or even triples of any of them because they just all come with such versatile and useful pieces!
See.. while there are parts I want many of .. I can't see buying more then 2 of any of them one to have male one for the female. Now.. depending some of them will get folded in to the Castle figures.
@@JosephMarkese-tx1kb all of them (lady of pain excepted) can be army builders. only want multiple liches and maybe the yellow elfs. and maybe dragons too. but rest (lets face it I plan on buying x4 complete unopened boxes sets of the CMF so over 30 of them) dont mind whatever I end up witth
13:38 A great detail about that figure is the shield doesn’t just have a generic dragon symbol. But has the holy symbol of Bahamut; the legendary platinum dragon and god of justice.
I feel that too! I'm not too big on DnD, I don't know squat about the lore of it and wasn't even aware that figs like Tasha or Strahd were even named characters when I initially saw pictures of the series, but I was so in love with the prints and overall designs! I'll definitely have to pick up a few, and hopefully get all the generic races, as I think the fact you can interchange them makes them all the more worth getting.
What I love most about this series is how you can swap classes and races between minifigures! I think that’s probably why the tiefling’s horns don’t match the skin tone.
You can see that in Baldur's Gate 3 with Karlach (Red skin with black horns bc she is a Tiefling) and Mizora (Grey-blue skin with grey-blue horns bc she is a half-devil)
My favorite minifigure here is definitely the Dragonborn Paladin! I can’t wait to add him to my 2010 Dragon knights army! Definitely a top 10 minifigure of the year for me!
Most people's knowledge of tieflings will be from bg3; mainly Karlach. Karlach has dark horns with vibrant red skin, so it would probably look strange to them if it was all one colour
The elf bard looks just like Raine Whispers from The Owl House, I love it so much! Also i think dupes are great because you could have a male one and a female version.
I think the reason the horns are different colors than the skin is so that you can put this hair part on other minifigures, otherwise it won't work on minifigures with other skin colors
I like all of the figs. I especially like they did the Gith in yellow (with normal LEGO minifig yellow ears). It feels like they thought about everyone with this minifig series, even normal non DnD lego fans. I love everything they did here. I just want more of it (and more yellow elf ears - maybe for the next releases - or for some other lego sets - they do some more of the hair ear combos with yellow ears). Can't complain about anything really. My favorite is the dragonkin - the best knight buildpack - you can make 2 knights , one heavy one lighter out of him - with a normal nondescript torso under the heavy armor
I know next to nothing about The Lady of Pain, but she's probably my favorite named character in the wave. There's something about her mask, cape, and the fact that she's floating above her Baseplate that demands respect.
The upside of this collection is that its almost impossible to pull a figure that isn't useful. You'll be getting red and blue capes, knight parts, rogue parts, I think Lady of Pain and Mind Flayer are probably the only doubles less useful, and Lady still comes with an interesting cape element.
Wasn’t that a wizard? Wizard, fighter, rogue, cleric Now we’ve got ranger, bard, sorcerer, paladin, barbarian, warlock, and Druid So we’re missing monk and artificer
@@harryscott2955 Artificers are going to be interesting, since they literally have a gun-adjacent subclass, and Monks could just be anyone but without weapons or armor.
I have two of these sets coming to me once they are released, and I'm thinking about getting a third one because I absolutely love the idea you mentioned in your video how you can have one character be anything you want them to be besides just their default. Simply swap out the head and hands and someone can be a wizard that used to be a bard. Decisions like that by Lego really help me to have a lot of variety in characters while still having them all fit in the same world together.
And that's assuming tieflings have true horns, horn is a term that gets thrown out a lot without a good understanding. A lot of famous "horned" animals have entirely distinct structures such as rhinos, antelope, etc.
Love your coverage of the Lego D&D stuff! Your knowledge & personality of the game puts ahead compared to the other youtubers imo. Keep it up! Hope to see more! 🤘
The red mini dragon accessory fits in really well with the actual D&D Red Dragon’s Tale set, where there’s a story of the giant Red Dragon searching for her stolen dragon egg… this mini accessory in the CMF would sync up with variations on that campaign. Cool that they did that, even it’s unofficially unrelated.
From wanting just tasha and dragon knight for my castle, to needing a complete set, and now to probably getting 2x set for each if these, man its probably the best cmf weve ever gotten. Lego castle is in need of minifigs, and this basically just doubles for it.
while true it'd be great to have more (easily solved since CMF/minifigs exist for everything already almost) enemies to fight against (or for me to army build)
Having a proper dwarven beard would indeed be appreciated, but sadly, all the beard pieces interfere with the fur collar piece. I believe the hairpiece and face print is dark orange, so a matching beard is cheaply available on Bricklink. It's the blacksmith's hair/beard color from the Ideas Medieval Blacksmith set, and also comes in the 3-in-1 Viking ship and Medieval Market. Actually, all three sets come with a second, spare beard piece.
Some thoughts: I love these so much I preordered a box of 36 figures, hoping that it'll come with three complete series to play around with and mix and match. My favorites are the paladin and the tiefling, and I really want to combine these into a tiefling paladin (hopefully the tail has enough clearance below the armor, might be tight). The bard's legs will probably pair well with the aarakocra's leather armor if you what to use that for a more humanoid character. OTOH, if you wanted to use the warlock's blue torso with the aarakocra head/wings, you could combine it with the CMF harpy legs from earlier this year. These seem to be the same shade of blue and have pretty much identical claw prints in gold instead of yellow. Since their beak and claws are yellow, their hand claws would be yellow, too. So you can equip them with any yellow handed torso you'd like. The greenish viking torso should work quite well. I believe the sorcerer's spell effect piece at 2:33 is Magic Missile. That comes with three projectiles out of the box, while Eldritch Blast starts out with only one, and more have to be earned by leveling up (and it's limited to Warlocks). Also, if you look at the MTG DnD crossover, the Magic Missile card uses pretty much the same artwork. Good catch of the Tasha's Hideous Laughter spell scroll. The baby dragon is probably a pseudodragon, a classic wizard's familiar (though nowadays limited to Warlocks, too). I love that the ranger gets a pup as an animal companion, too. Mindflayers are decent army builders, but three of them should sizeable challenge already. 20:57 "Us! We are Us!" (from BG3). Love the little guy :). Tasha and Strahd have some nice and reusable pieces. The Lady's robe could build an excellent archmage. Szass Tam I'm slightly disappointed with. I was hoping to build some more generic or specific Red Wizards of Thay with his robes (e.g. Edwin from Baldur's Gate 1/2), ones that aren't undead yet. Him showing his bare chest / rip cage limits us to liches, which there are quite a few among the Red Wizards, but the majority of them is alive (evil, yes, but still alive).
I went to a store recently and found a whole box of 36 minifigures, but I only bought three minifigures, there is a video on my channel, although not as good as yours. They're great minifigures so I'll get some more, even if I'm not a D&D fan.
These got me back into lego. I got the full D&D set coming because of these. I think the issue with the Lady in Pain, you can't do more with her. I almost wish we got more gneric villains. Knoll or goblins. I am hoping we get more form these two.
Idk about you guys, but I'm definitely taking the legs from the Goatherd from series 25, and throwing them on a halfling druid, just to have a bigger variety and a druid army. :)
Honestly I love the Mind Flayer in this, he looks so cool and he’s very underrated in this, a lot of people say he’s the worst part but he still looks great
The long black hair for Strahd is Dumbledore’s hair as well as the Centaur’s hair in black and Lucius Malfoy also the wings for the Arakocra Ranger are new and the closest piece to that are the wings for the Eagle tribe of Chima
9:47 The axe appears to be based on the Heroica Axe from the Lego Heroica series, so if you combine the axe head with a grey bar you’ll have a minifigure sized version of the heroica axe
2:26 I think it works better the way it is because the horns are bone and thus have a different reaction to light (I don’t know how to better phrase it, I mean that bone looks visually different when exposed to skin of the same color even with the same light)
I ordered a full box and I'm really looking forward to it. I already made the Baldur's Gate 3 characters from Lego, but was waiting to get parts for Lea'zel, so here they are, I give her the Grimlock sword and must find the right torso.
The entire time leading up to the dragonborn.I was just sitting there wondering if they would give it a tailor not. And they didn't, and I am so happy! Like obviously I'm not against dragonborns with tails. I just am super happy that they are keeping them consistent to the dragonborns found on faerun.
I believe the magic the sorcerer is using is most likely Magic missile while fires in groups of three typically. Not only that but if chicken be Eldritch Blast as its exclusive to Warlocks
Chima should have use the new Lego leg molds that they did for the Lego Stranger Things set, but molded them in white, black, half translucent/ transparent light blue and light gray for the Eagles, Ravens and Vultures for the Anniversary of Legends of Chima
as someone who's currently playing a war forged ranger in a dnd campaign, I will be doing my best to get the Aarakocra in a attempt to make my dnd character (ofc I will try and collect tall the others since its sick)

That’s a good point! I hadn’t considered you could use the horns with a more realistic flesh tone and it’d still make sense
Tieflings' horns are not the same color as their skin, because they are hard horns. Demons on the other hand are because they are softer ☝🤓
You can see that in Baldur's Gate 3 with Karlach (Red skin with black horns bc she is a Tiefling) and Mizora (Grey-blue skin with grey-blue horns bc she is a half-devil)
Tasha comes with a cauldrin as a reference to the d&d book "Tasha's cauldrin of everything"
Also the spell Tasha's Bubbling Cauldron
first CMF series i'm actually tempted to get a whole box of, so many good parts for customizing
Right? Lego sent me 2 full sets and I still want more, they’re just so versitile
LEGO and D&D would be fools to not do a series of sets, there is SO much they can do with this theme.

I love this series. Especially the Halfling and the Dwarf Barbarian, as playing D&D when I was younger I feel connected to this.
Dragonborn Paladin and Aarakocra Ranger... PERFECT! O.O The Halfling Druid and the Mind Flayer are also super cool! XD
Prediction: The dragon guy head will be used for the draconian guys next year for Ninjago next year
and the eagle wings will be used for an Angel when the X-Mansion is revealed
I'm so excited to pick them up😊
This is a series where I'd be happy with whoever I get, but that lil dragon is so cute
I think DnD and LEGO work so well together, so glad they did this
I think the reason the horns are different colors than the skin is so that you can put this hair part on other minifigures, otherwise it won't work on minifigures with other skin colors
Thanks for putting this video together and going so in depth. A lot of people are obviously pumped up for these!
Easily the best CMF line-up to date. Worth having one copy of most of these if you're a fantasy fan. I really hope they continue the DnD partnership!

These are amazing, i love the squid looking guy, only complaint is that i need MORE 🥺
BricksByMind ur Absolutely INCREDIBLE 🥳
9:47 The axe appears to be based on the Heroica Axe from the Lego Heroica series, so if you combine the axe head with a grey bar you’ll have a minifigure sized version of the heroica axe
The Mind Flayer could absolutely be used as an Ood to go with the Doctor Who set from a few years back.
2:26 I think it works better the way it is because the horns are bone and thus have a different reaction to light (I don’t know how to better phrase it, I mean that bone looks visually different when exposed to skin of the same color even with the same light)
The witch and the little red dragon are my picks.
That tiefling is obviously a warlock since it’s casting an Eldritch blast and has the pact of the chain
This is a set that you keep wanting to get more . I juust see so much you could do .And an army of the dragon would be awesome .
CAN'T WAIT FOR THESE! ALREADY HAVE SOME PREORDERED AND WILL BUY MORE!

I like the fact that I could do a campaign using these
I've just realiced that this is probably the medieval awnser to the Space CMF (However I still would love a full og lego Castle CMF)
My top three is:
1: Dragon Paladin
2: Vampire Strahd
3: Lady of Pain

Thanks for the video. Amazing serie. When is it available please ?
23:31 Gandalf, appears in black on Lurtz (hobbit), Ugha Warrior with Hair (Indiana jones), Urak Hai (LOTR), Yeoman Zombie (Pirates of the Caribbean)
I feel like when they finally released to the public I’m gonna get my first character and be like this feels like a rare mini figure
My first thought with the Lady of Pain's headdress was that IT LOOKS LIKE SATINE'S WHEN WE FIRST SEE HER IN CLONE WARS!
this is the first time i actually am 100% getting the full set
If the tiefling hair piece had red horns it would be perfect for a parshendi custom
I don't even like dungeons and dragons but these are a must buy
the tasha mini figure was the one that rote tasha’s cauldron of everything dnd book in lore
ironically my main go to on neverwinter nights which is a d&d game is a halfling druid so its nice that exists for me in this cmf.
the higliht of this video is you knowing what is Eldrich blast is :) you must gather your party before venturing forth!
In that context, the "baby dragon" piece represents a pseudodragon
I'm in love with this dragon knight... Bye bye money...
I believe the magic the sorcerer is using is most likely Magic missile while fires in groups of three typically. Not only that but if chicken be Eldritch Blast as its exclusive to Warlocks
ofc the gith and mindflayer got reviewed together
Chima should have use the new Lego leg molds that they did for the Lego Stranger Things set, but molded them in white, black, half translucent/ transparent light blue and light gray for the Eagles, Ravens and Vultures for the Anniversary of Legends of Chima
as someone who's currently playing a war forged ranger in a dnd campaign, I will be doing my best to get the Aarakocra in a attempt to make my dnd character (ofc I will try and collect tall the others since its sick)
I'll try the bard legs with the ranger torso.
Druid is definitely the best
Amazing job on these Lego, thank you.
I‘ll try to get the Mindflayer, Lady of Pain and the Dragonborn
I need that Warlock knife :o
That 3 prong magic thing has to be a magic missile. It almost always 3 magic energy darts that shoot at the same time
We need a kind of "Lego City + Medieval Fantasy" line of sets
Hopefully they make a second set of figures for this series
Here's hoping we'll get more D&D figures...we're still missing Loxodons, Tabaxis, Tortles and Drow
