They are already are playing like this😂. India is no outlier even Pakistan Declared only to lose. Bangladesh now have an attacking opening batter. Warner scoring 100 in the first hour of a tests was an even bigger shift. Nobody wants Elgar type openners. 3 is nolonger the most important spot. Wk are going extinct since nobody wants a keeper who can't bat. Not only bat but be dynamic and attacking. These changes are happening only Indians are now awake maybe
@@sphamandlambambo9990 Look at how England is playing against Pakistan now especially how Roots n Brook are batting. All teams are actually following Bazball but because of national pride n ego, don’t want to admit it.
@@roobanloganathan6498 they are not they are playing how the game is now played. McCullum NZ played this was before England hype. The shift has been happening with or without bazball. Even England don't term it bazball because its more than attacking for them but more about letting Average player peform at they best. Making players comfortable. England was already ultra attacking in ODIs under Morgan all was need was to translate those skills. Roots doesn't need to follow this he is good enough so is India. No amount of bravado can hide skills limitations as shown by IndvEng. These players plays more white ball cricket then Red ball what else do they know. I'm just glad T20 is nolonger the villain
A big point which I thought atleast Jarrod will cover but suprisingly did not is that this Indian batting lineup is perhaps the best equipped to play an innings like that when reqd. All top 7 are established t20 batters and everyone except Akashdeep has bucket loads of t20 experience. If I'm not horribly wrong, perhaps no other team has this, not even England.
10:04 but that is exactly what has happened.. A huge number of people in India stopped taking interest in cricket after Sachin's retirement. A lot of these people were from the Gen X, but there were many millennials too who stopped watching the game outside of WCs and a few Ind vs Pak games. This, mind you, will also happen when Kohli retires. Not to that extent, probably, but it will happen. Indians are hardcore cricket fans, but they're also bigger fans of the cricketers themselves in many cases.
true to some extent, I was 16 when 2011 happened and then sachin retires and I stop watching bilaterals, Post that 2015 happened, we lose semis and it makes me feel horrible, life catches on, I still watch good amount just not like back in the day
I don't know about changing test cricket .. but Rohit has definitely changed the way what india thinks is possible for an indian team ... They got 7 wickets in 35 overs.. Got 280 in 35 overs... Then got the team out in 40 overs.. This is attack when it comes to batting and bowling ..
This India team is stronger and consistent than the mighty Aussie team but the other teams in that Aussie era are weaker than the current ones. So India's performances doesn't seem more dominant.
I keep on saying that scrapping bilateral T20s between the top 8 teams is the way to keep cricket alive. These T20s are of no point. Make it necessary to pick two players from associate teams in a franchise squad. Just play a month of T20s just before the T20 wc.
What happened in this Test match and has been happening in Bazball is the kind of scenarios we used to think of, but no team had the ability to execute it. Now with all the things Jarod mentioned, the game has changed.
I don't think that things are changed but india don't play like this in every match india plays according to the situation of the match ... And that's a true potential of a champion side that they can accelerate whenever they feel to get the result ... And at the same time they can survive or defend in hard situationa while batting is hard on some pitches or on some grounds ... So if someone is comparing with bazballll pls don't baseball is entertaining but not a perfect in all situations and that's exactly why england is not qualifying for WTC final for the third time in a row
I also think India's batting talent in important to consider, each one of the top six barring rahul is either a legend or a to be legend, very different from bairstow batting at 5 for England,so I think england and Australia can somewhat replicate it,but not to the point of india simply because of the skill level, the important part is that india don't have this kind of talent in their fast bowling, where other teams have pulled ahead of india slightly , atleast in the depth of fast bowlers maybe not the best fast bowlers available
@@SAFFRONINFERNO That makes sense, He's not mentally strong to be in clutch situations, His past records might be good but at present he's horrible in ODI
The moment Bangladesh 1st innings was wrapped up just after lunch on day 4, everyone in India knew India will push for win…because Indian bowlers effectively need 2 sessions to wrap up the opposition in 4 the innings…btw @Kimber that could be your next video to check what’s the average no of overs Indian bowlers bowled to take 10 wickets in the 4th innings, probably you’ll see a pattern and this win would look more believable…

In my opinion, I have thought this for a long time that England is the home of innovations in cricket in general, be it the start of one day cricket or t20, English invented or say innovated the existing form of cricket, and now 'Bazball'. And offcourse, other countries took lessons from English and brought these things to other levels. I do think in the next 5-10 years Bazball or Gamball or whatever you like to call it, the result/win oriented approach is going to stay here in the Test cricket and many other teams are gonna go this route in the future

If India loses the 2025 WTC final , there might be a negative effect on the Indian cricket fraternity in that they might completely lose interest in WTC and concentrate on T20 n ODI. The seniors in test team will certainly retire if they lose n the BCCI might just put out a team full of youngsters to fulfill fixtures. In the end, test cricket will lose big time as if advertisers shun it, money will stop flowing to test matches.
I m from india and i m confused how to react. See test cricket is meant to show ur batting and bowling talent. That game actually was played in a different attitude.
There is a big difference b/w Eng vs Pak & Ind vs Bng Test Match 😅 Eng was not even in contention for Championship Finals & they were playing like mad bulls with no aim 🤷 But India was playing for extra 8 points becos they want to qualify for final. Also India smashed all the records like fastest 50, 100, 200 etc and Runrate was even higher than anyone else whereas Eng defeated a poor struggling test team 🤷 Many more reasons r there but i think that's enough to expose these fake cricketing analysts 😂
Test cricket is suffering not because of the product but because of money. If India wins the World Test Championship, there will be massive demand for test cricket viewing and, consequently, big money from sponsors; thus, it could be like the IPL was born out of T20. So, it will help test players in the payment of money.
Maybe if this breakneck pace of cricket gets adopted....we might see Test becoming a 4 or a 3 day affair.... broadcasters will lose money on tests that are shortening fast.
Tbh if BCCI makes sure that matches like these be it Bangladesh or New Zealand or West Indies besides top 3 which are India, Australia and England in tier 2 cities crowds gonna come no matter which team plays because there r people in tier 2 cities in India who enjoys the cricket but can't travel for 5 days to enjoy it so if they do schedule these games accordingly I bet all the stadiums will be full or almost full Ex I live in Pune and it's biggest city in Maharashtra after Mumbai and still rarely we get to see international matches so if we do people will flood in for the games and people do have money it's just travelling to big cities is tough
The enthusiasm will sustain years to come because the domestic structure will keep producing hungry cricketers. There will be pressure for any player's position and the competition. Only driver is the finance involved with it to provide a reasonable income as a career.
Stop using this dumb term Bazball, India played good aggressive cricket with positive intent to produce a result. The issue is with Bazball, your English players just go for mindless hitting without actually understanding the context or situation of the game. Thats where it differs, India plays according to the situation. You had players like Sir Viv, Gilchrist and Sehwag who played attacking cricket before Bazball became a thing.
I dont like cricket these days. India got best bowling lineup thats the reason batters can do all these nonsense..Bse even 250 india can defend. Its same as Australia in 90s n early 2000 West Indies in 80s bse the bowlers are capable to dismantle opposition. If India had 90s bowling lineup then these batters will respond different. Bse they need to scoe 400 n 500 to win games if they get out 250 to 300 game is done!! Its the bowlers of India make Indian batters better.Bhumhra is the hardest bowler to face in last 20 yrs.
Jarrod and Abhishek seem to have forgotten their history of cricket in India. Years ago, in the 1950s, 60s and 70s when tests in India used to be played in just a few centers, Kanpur was one of the 5 sites that regularly hosted test matches. The other four were: Bombay, Madras, Delhi, and Calcutta. In fact, it was only in the late seventies, Bangalore replaced Kanpur as the customary 5th site when India played West Indies in 1974 (when Gordon Greenidge on debut scored 93 and 107), a match in which Viv Richards also made his debut. But Kanpus also has the distinction of being the site where India enjoyed their first victory over Australia (in the 1959-60 tour), by 118 runs, on a "miracu;lous" bowling performance by Jasu Patel who grabbed 14 for 124 in the match including a 9 for 69 in the first innings. So the return to Green Park in Kanpur is in some sense a return to a Test Center with a history rather then a new ground, even if it had been out of favor in more recent years.
England was playing on a highway stretch that was doing nothing and England's rate of scoring was no where close to India. I find it strange when it all comes back around to sucking on England's balls no matter who did what. England were lucky, we saw that shitty bazball in India. It's a different ballgame to hit 8+ r.p.o on Indian pitches.
Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is a massive rivalry and absolutely hate each other.... however the coach of Bangladesh is Chandika Hathurasinghe...... wait what????
WTC making every team to slog hard for those precious win percentage… changing result oriented tests.mindless aggressive cricket can be best seen in bazball which can be only be successful at pindi like pitches.Joe root actually abandoned bazball first thing after first test in india and scored hundred after. Match situation do matters may it be India’s gabba heroics or legendary stokes-leach partnership.
Bazball works only when both teams do it. Bazball failed against Australia and India because these teams can play long and score lots of runs. Bazball worked only against inferior batting sides.
WTC as a format is flawed. It should be like premier league rather than FA cup. Stretched over 2 years it must follow a formt where the team that tops the table after two years wins the test championship. Imagine English PL where after playing ,38 games over 9months u still has a final b/w MC and Liverpool. That would be insane

@@sphamandlambambo9990
Look at how England is playing against Pakistan now especially how Roots n Brook are batting.
Really enjoyed your conversation. Thank you 😊
Shakib will always be remembered as an Indian fan 🙌
Never gonna happen, bcos icc has very little control over cricket
T20i has highest adv rates
I like the idea
You will die saying that.
Lol. T20I is the future. No one has time to sit the whole day to watch a match
For India Virender Sehwag as a Test Opener changed the game.. I started watching Test cricket to watch him bat.
One thing is good from 2000 decade ,is now most match get their results not draws
Because of T20 batter no longer have that endurance level as it was before.😂
I also think India's batting talent in important to consider, each one of the top six barring rahul is either a legend or a to be legend, very different from bairstow batting at 5 for England,so I think england and Australia can somewhat replicate it,but not to the point of india simply because of the skill level, the important part is that india don't have this kind of talent in their fast bowling, where other teams have pulled ahead of india slightly , atleast in the depth of fast bowlers maybe not the best fast bowlers available
Which team is ahead of India in fast bowling ?
rahul is a good test player, but his limited overs is mixed. Him and jaddu should be test players right now
@@marathiboi96 RAHUL should be booted out of the team

The moment Bangladesh 1st innings was wrapped up just after lunch on day 4, everyone in India knew India will push for win…because Indian bowlers effectively need 2 sessions to wrap up the opposition in 4 the innings…btw @Kimber that could be your next video to check what’s the average no of overs Indian bowlers bowled to take 10 wickets in the 4th innings, probably you’ll see a pattern and this win would look more believable…
MATTHEW HAYDEN STILL THE BEST COMPLETE BATSMAN I HAVE EVER SEEN! HE DOMINATED EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING AND WITH SUCH HUMBLE LOOK & GRACE BUT WITH A FIGHTER SPIRIT! WHAT A PLAYER HE WAS! BOWLERS WERE SCARED AND HE SMASHED EM OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
This test was way way more significant than the Rawalpindi test
In my opinion, I have thought this for a long time that England is the home of innovations in cricket in general, be it the start of one day cricket or t20, English invented or say innovated the existing form of cricket, and now 'Bazball'. And offcourse, other countries took lessons from English and brought these things to other levels. I do think in the next 5-10 years Bazball or Gamball or whatever you like to call it, the result/win oriented approach is going to stay here in the Test cricket and many other teams are gonna go this route in the future
Bazball is mindless on several occasions. They can't adapt if they ever need to play slower
Dhoni changed it back on 2011 during the WI tour when he went for draws
God, not another dhoni fan taking credit, where he isn't even in the squad, Don't these guys get bored of crediting dhoni with everything, soon, dhoni fans would start crediting him for 1983 world cup win by some of their random logic

Yeah, losing after such dominating runs,it’s bad to see.Imagine prime Aus losing 2 st8 odi wc finals
One final match for entire wtc cycle is ridiculous
I m from india and i m confused how to react. See test cricket is meant to show ur batting and bowling talent. That game actually was played in a different attitude.
There's a nation building angle to every activity, not just cricket.
It has been done before Aus v Eng miracle at Adelaide 2006😊
Tbh if BCCI makes sure that matches like these be it Bangladesh or New Zealand or West Indies besides top 3 which are India, Australia and England in tier 2 cities crowds gonna come no matter which team plays because there r people in tier 2 cities in India who enjoys the cricket but can't travel for 5 days to enjoy it so if they do schedule these games accordingly I bet all the stadiums will be full or almost full
Ex I live in Pune and it's biggest city in Maharashtra after Mumbai and still rarely we get to see international matches so if we do people will flood in for the games and people do have money it's just travelling to big cities is tough
Big difference between England's bazball approach and India's approach is
England team is playing for loss
Indian team is playing for win
😂
Shakib's biopic would be interesting to watch
10:24 (read in booker t's voice) tell me he didn't just say that😂😂
Long before England started bazball, India had sehwag. Who was successful against all teams.
WTC is important but another series win in Aus would be over it. Of course that would possibly lead to a WTC title.
The REAL difference is between Talksport Cricket & Football.
Shakib is one of the best to play the game , atleast from this generation
I really love this channel ❤❤❤❤
Bazball works only when both teams do it.
Bazball failed against Australia and India because these teams can play long and score lots of runs.
Bazball worked only against inferior batting sides.
Should we need to have 3 tests, to decide the WTC winner?
Ideally it should be a 3 match series but I don’t think it will happen.
It's a Ro-ball
WTC as a format is flawed. It should be like premier league rather than FA cup. Stretched over 2 years it must follow a formt where the team that tops the table after two years wins the test championship. Imagine English PL where after playing ,38 games over 9months u still has a final b/w MC and Liverpool. That would be insane
I would take great offence to being compared to the Daily Mail if I was Jarrod

Bazball was superflop in india. England were like 120-7 in 50 overs. Is this bazball?😂😂

India won the 2nd test ( i did not watch , i am not interested in any team that have KL rahul. He is like coackroach that dont go away) because of Gambhir ( a la rooster like mccullum). India do well but india can win world cup under him without BCCI making deal with Ca and ECB. Straight up india can win. Because he cover all the bases.
Difference between RahulDravid vs Gambhir ? Theory vs Practical. Idealist vs realist.
Such a loser … still defending England who played from 1st day and comparing with India who started the test on 4th day
Shakib is probably the worst for sportsmanship. Remember him calling for drinks when 2 balls were left in a match ? 2 balls !!! Ofcourse Ban still lost the match 😂
I would rather call it “I BALL” Indian ball game!
Dennis Compton did it all 80 years ago. Sehwag, Sanath and Gilchrist did it 20 years ago. Bating fast is not a new innovation.
You guys are overhyping a rain-affected test. Yes, what the Indian team did was unprecedented and must be applauded. But change the tests forever? Please!
England bazzball will be tested against Australia in Australia.
England anit doing any chairty dude.. they are also playing to win..it is not always about bazball.. you gotta know how to okay traditional test cricket... ban is mino... but jist see how India showed both styles in one series.. lets accept Eng need to learn the test cricket.. so stop being this elite.

The bazz ball concept in a way started by Australia from 2000-08 during that period their batter used to scored at a run rate of 4 in a day 90 overs bowled 90% time they always put 350+ on board it gives their bowler immanse time to bowled the opposition twice , secondly our boys are not strong head like English boys that without realising the situation, opposition just go for bazz ball result lost to India 4-1, as in front of them it was jaisball, and bazzball is not English ancestral property it belongs to all so remind it to mr Big mouth Michel Vaughan.🤫
