There is something very magical the way Julien puts colours together... I find every one of his collections fascinating... Few designers continue to create in a way that accents the natural beauty of the woman's body, yet with class and elegance.
The colors are breathtaking (especially in the pieces where sheer navy blue is used on top of a vibrant yellow) and I like the back of certain gowns where the back of the lower leg shows with a fluid-effect on the fabric. I also found the music quite enchanting.
Thanks for your comments about the music. I have put this soundtrack together. Every piece in it is from film music by John Barry... not only the James Bond films. I enjoy very much working with Julien Fournié who is an extremely talented fashion designer. Indeed, he has chosen to present some of his ready-to-wear pieces in the first looks of this runway show. but all the final looks from half way at least are Couture. I was a fashion writer for many years and I can tell you that this is real Couture. the level of quality and craftsmanship are really there when you see the clothes for real. It's always difficult to render the right colours on a video particularly when two colors vibrate togteher. Please do'nt trust the video for these, there is nothing like the real color. I am happy that the comments (including the very critical ones) are creating such a buzz around the collection. Thanks for drawing attention on Julien Fournié's work. He deserves it.

Best part of the show is the music.....this Designer has nothing to say or offer and I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this was painful to watch.
The collection was not Haute Couture it frankly looks like it needs to go in a department store like Macy's, it is very ready to wear. The designer focused too much on the production of the show and not enough time on thinking about how he could be different and innovative with his designs, Haute Couture is an art, its supposed to display impossible techniques with textiles and unconventional items. This is not good, the clothes are absolutely diabolical. I had hope for this designer about two seasons ago from what I remember, and it was slim then and it definitely is not working with me now. This collection and designer in general is a no.
And now his company is doing incredibly well and his designs have improved 150% and his shows have personality unlike any other couture show. Have a little faith.
