    Tell me why the majority of people who watched & commented on this video actually searched up "man vs bear debate" AND that 80% of the viewers and commentators are men.
    I was just looking to know my fellow women’s input on this question 😅

      The reason is simple. Men are now being compared to wild animals like they are all dangerous murderous r@pists. How would you feel if the majority of men started saying women are like (insert animal) eg. cow or horse, all their only purpose is eg. breeding, servitude or shit like that. Do you see how fucked up this is. Sorry for being vulgar. But im tired of being seen as a villian.

      you’re deleting ENTIRE threads yet you advocate so strongly for equality and expressing your opinion, you are so blatantly contradictory and it’s so pathetic to see when someone actually challenges your delusional beliefs. this is not a ‘debate’ it’s comparing a wild animal to a human being. you should be ashamed of yourself, look into more constructive and useful ways to support and advocate for gender disparities in women
      this is why you’re getting an influx of negative comments. Be truthful and have humility and you wouldn’t have to delete 30+ comment long threads just because they make you look bad. there’s no shame in being ignorant, but when you choose to be ignorant and try to silence the people engaging in conversation with you is when it’s sad

    As a woman who's spent a lot of time in the woods who's encountered both bears and random men this question took me less than a second to answer: bear. Oh the whole, you can predict a bear's behaviour, as long as you follow some basic safety rules and don't smear yourself in peanut butter or carry fish in your pockets (both instances of actual bear attacks that I know of), the chances of getting attacked by a bear are very small. With random men, you have no idea what their intentions are, what they're thinking, or what they might do. I've known a women who was camping who had a random man try to get into her tent at night and the only reason he didn't was the woman had ziptied her tent zipper shut. So yeah, bear.

    As someone who grew up in Alaska, I've been alone in the woods with a Grizzly bear multiple times, and I'd way rather choose to meet another bear vs. taking my chances with a random man in the woods.
    A bear in the woods is in it's home and doing its thing. As long as I mind my own business, make my presence known then the chance of being eaten alive is very very low. In general Bears want nothing to do with humans and unless it's very injured or extremely hungry or I give it a reason to feel threatened it's never going to mess with a human. While picking blueberries I've come across a mom with her cubs and it's really not that intimadating as long as you stay away from them they want nothing to do with you. Literally just talk and say "hey bear, i'm here" put your hands up and walk backwards so she knows you're not a threat and just go about your day. She's not going to randomly hunt you. However, a man in the middle of the wilderness is a very possibly a criminal or someone mentally disturbed and could do much worse to me then kill me and eat me alive.
    I love men and theres plenty of amazing men out there but I absolutely would rather take my chances with a bear.

    ive seen men get soooo triggered over this, reflexively upset by the theatrics of it and trying to defeat it argumentatively before even engaging with the hypothetical, the purpose of which is to confront the question: *why* would women prefer the bear? its not that theyre unable to ask themselves that question, they don't want to, they don't want to confront the way things are because things are fine (for them), so they must be fine for everyone. they don't want to think about if the normal appearing guys around them have bad intentions (something women are taught by parents and friends and their own experiences to fear the possibility of) and they especially don't want to question how their own behavior might come off to women. keep comparing 'swiping strength' or w/e cuz its the easier conversation.

    @user-jh2lr3zb4t Месяц назад +2

    This debate seriously upsets me because of how much men are missing the point. I had faith most people would be caring and want to know why women would even consider the bear, because women should not have to be afraid of men. Instead I read many more comments that were very demeaning and antagonistic, insulting women; saying women are delusional, they’re radical feminists, they’re lying, they hate men, and so on.
    It only VALIDATES why many women in response would say the bear. The lack of empathy, compassion, care, willingness to understand, and even just downright hate is insane. I see apathy and hate for women who are explaining their experiences, and saying why they’d rather encounter a random bear than a random man. There is so much malice that men are making memes about women dying to the hypothetical bear, and how they would not help the woman to prove their point. They’re making up self-righteous scenarios where a woman dies to prove their point. They’re literally the ones perpetuating hate toward the opposite sex, and giving women more reason to have distrust and fear.
    It’s not women hating men, it’s women being afraid of men. That’s where the discussion should be. Why is this a problem? How do we approach it? How can we fix it? Then, from there, we make positive change. It’s important to note and take into consideration that it’s not even just women who’d rather choose the bear.. there are men saying they would also rather choose the bear for their own reasons.
    I really wish people were smarter, kinder, and more understanding to each other so we could faster progress toward positive changes in society, and tensions wouldn’t be so unreasonably high.

      @LightningIgnis Месяц назад +2

      I completely understand but I don’t think this the right way to go about telling men about us being afraid of them to help one side we shouldn’t have to degrade the other to being less trustworthy than wild animals I understand the point of this debate i just don’t think it’s a good way of going about it

    • @user-jh2lr3zb4t
      @user-jh2lr3zb4t Месяц назад +2

      @@LightningIgnis That’s totally understandable, and maybe it isn’t the right way to go about discussing this topic. However, I don’t believe it’s meant to degrade or say men are less than animals, it’s meant to express that the possibility of encountering bad men frighten some more than a wild animal. If we’re being honest, as ruthless as the wilderness is, people can be the most dangerous and cruel. People also aren’t as predictable as many animals, and animals don’t usually hold ulterior motives and malicious-intent. It’s not just women who answer the bear, but some men too. I’m also not so sure that if one rephrased the hypothetical or switched their approach to the issue that many of these people would not continue to have some sort of problem, or gaslight women into say their problems do not exist and are trivial. Some would listen, but I’m almost certain most who have a big issue would still be saying lots of similar things in response as they are doing now, or the issue would be ignored all together by said people. Some are genuinely ignorant and don’t know any better, but others are just offended and don’t care about the REAL issue, or would still find a way to dismiss the problem. It’s very hard to configure a way to put things into perspective for people like this.

    • @senrye8273
      @senrye8273 28 дней назад +1

      Chief, this ain’t about empathy or compassion, it’s about risk assessment. The question of “why” tends to lead towards misandrist anecdotes or baseless assumptions unrelated to the quarry. The question reveals the person’s faith or lack thereof of their fellow man, and it’s appalling to see the results.

    • @user-jh2lr3zb4t
      @user-jh2lr3zb4t 28 дней назад +1

      @@senrye8273 Well, it is about empathy and compassion to a degree. People are dismissing the point trying to be brought up by arguing about the semantics of the question, instead of realizing it’s giving insight into the perspective of lots of women. It also shows a lack of trust because there IS a lack of trust-honestly, between both sexes, sadly. I hate to see it. While some might come from a place of misandry, because there’s always going to be.. those.. people, many others talking aren’t being misandrists. They’re sharing their valid concerns, and some of it is even coming from other men considering their daughters, significant others, or sisters. Sometimes even themselves.

    I know this question is aimed at woman but I will give my honest answer.
    as a man whos run into multiple bears (brown bears) while hiking, fishing or jogging. I will pick a bear for multiple reasons. (im not specifying woman or man just human in general)
    1.bears are easier to read than a human. bears cant lie and stab you in the back or carry fire arms.
    2.bear attacks are already pretty rare ive run into some grizzly bears multiple times. (most encounters go with the bear being in front of me in the trial or by my fishing spot. if its in front of me in the trial I will ready my bear spray and walk away backwards facing the bear most of the time the bear will walk off the trial and head into the forest where I will watch it make sure its gone and continue on my way. if its a fishing spot encounter Ill head back and come check in 2 hours to see if its gone if its not gone by the 2nd check Ill come fish another day.)
    3. bears are still animals and most animals dont want problems with humans and will see you and walk away and continue with their day.

    Honestly, if I really had the choice then neither. I want to come across absolutely nothing in the woods haha.
    But...I've worked in the woods my entire life and had no issues with bears but have had plenty of bad experiences with people. This debate has nothing to do with men for me. 🤷
    From my experience, wild animals do not have the capacity for deception and will not hide their intentions. It's also important to actually think of the scenario. In the remote woods it's not surprising to see a bear but when you see another person you're instantly on edge wondering why they are there. If they aren't working, camping, or hunting then I would swap out for the bear any day 😂.
    The attempt at gaslighting I'm seeing also blows my mind...women being called crazy over choosing a bear and labelling all bears as dangerous and human-eaters which is incredibly ignorant to say and just isn't true. It also depends on where you live and the bear species there.
    Overall, it's a simple question, which people tend to over exaggerate. Context is important. If more insight into the scenario was given or the question was changed to "angry bear or angry man" answers may change but that isn't the point of simple, philosophical questions is it? haha.

    • @Camilleboissonneault
      @Camilleboissonneault  Месяц назад

      Absolutely not. This warrants no attack, at all. All women want in this is to be heard. And you are hearing us.
      The "attacks" usually stem from the fact that a man commented in a way that insinuated he knew what we thought more than we did or that what we thought was ridiculous or that it’s not all men so we should be fine. These are the kinds of responses that make us feel, not only unheard, but ridiculed. It’s like they are trying to say they know more about our mind than we even do. While it’s our mind! It’s insulting. And frustrating. And that’s when we "attack". Because we felt "attacked".
      On the contrary, you are acknowledging our feelings while expressing your own. That is 100% fine! I also acknowledge your feelings in this. It is evident that men must feel very terrible about this and in return about themselves. It’s very very frustrating that ALL men must suffer the repercussions of a label created by SOME horrible men. But as you said, safety comes first. And of course, that is why we must be careful no matter who the man is. Because we just don’t know. Is he a grapist? A violent person? A serial killer? Most likely not. But unfortunately the chances are too large to take the risk. And until we live in a world where that isn’t the case, unfortunately women will not feel safe. And unfortunately good men will have their feelings hurt by this. It’s terrible but it’s the reality we live in.
      I absolutely acknowledge your feelings towards this. I couldn’t imagine what it would feel like to have that constant prejudice over my shoulders. Please know that no woman will ever find that bad. It’s a normal and valid feeling. What is not ok, is when a man uses this feeling to justify a woman not needing to be vigilant about this. That is not what you’re doing. YOU UNDERSTAND. And that is beautiful and wonderful and I appreciate it so much.
      Your feelings are valid and so are ours.
      It’s important that we mutually acknowledge them ❤️

      No way. I think that whether a woman says man or bear it’s valid. Because it’s their opinion. Any man who thinks they know better than womens own opinion are insecure and recognize themselves in bad behaviour and are trying to desperately convince women otherwise. I’m not insecure, I know I’m a good person and I know that there are so many horrible men out there. So whatever they think is valid. And if you don’t think that take a look in the mirror my bro

That's yall problem. Yall keep using personal experiences and projecting that onto all men when statistically those are anomalies. Again. Walk passed a bear up close and see what happens compare to walking passed a man in the woods. Most likely the average man which is most are not serial killers. Most bears are hungry, scared of you and will attack you or SOMETIMES run but since they have your scent you're basically dinner for later. Most bears act like bears.
