Thanks Jen. I visited Jack the other day and we ended up talking about this epic trip again. It was so damn hard at the time, but an unforgettable experience.

Yes Scotland is just another level in every respect it must be said, Shame it's so far away though. Need to get back to Wales myself soon. Been nearly 4 months since the last visit. Thanks for watching.

A couple of years back myself and my boyfriend hiked up to Loch Etchachan over Derry Cairngorm and set up a tent for the night just as it was getting dark. Turns out that wasn't a great idea as we spent a cold, loud, sleepless night being battered by constant 30mph winds with gusts up to 60, with the tent eventually collapsing and shredding at 6 am just as it was dawning (Our first 'serious' camp with an amazon tent, it was a hard lesson). I can't describe the relief we felt once we started hiking down and came across the Hutchinson Memorial Hut. How lovely and warm and quiet it was in there to make a bit of breakfast porridge and take a mid morning nap. A very special place.

That sounds like quite the adventure and dice with the elements. You must have been as relieved to see the Hutchie as we were. Thanks for watching.

Hi Dan , just subbed and what a great video of your epic adventure and reminded me of a similar trip I did a while back in similar conditions, no stove in the hutchy then so was warmer to sleep in the tent. I was thinking where is that bothy Red house and glad you said it was a new one. Brilliant.
    Again I really enjoyed this.
    Cheers Dan
