One interesting thing I've done on my bow sorc is at the start of the run when you're buffing up, after you BO and BC, swap out the CtA to a faceted Eschutas Temper (25 fire skill damage), then cast your ES and Enchant. The +fire skill damage given when you cast Enchant stays applied when you swap back to your Demon Machine, and it's an easy way to get around 20% extra damage. You can go nuts with this, but one swap out seems reasonable as you can just keep the ET in your cube at all times. Big DPS boost and gain an extra +2 to your ES as well.
max enchant prebuff gear = wand with +3enchant, +3fire mastery with 3x faucets, Spirit, ormus with enchant (faucet), BK/SoJ in both slots, any +3fire amulet, Arach, +3fire skillers (instead of cube, and sunder). It gives way more than 20%.
I did this build in winter and I havent played it since then. This is all I can remember.
It's not 20% extra damage probably closer to around 7% more damage. Eschuta is like adding 3 points into fire mastery to gain that 21% extra fire dmg. Thats why Eschuta kinda sucks.

Yup, I finally pulled the trigger on making this build earlier on s5 ladder - It's a very powerful mass mob farming character, and most importantly, an A+ in the fun department too! Who doesn't like a sorceress with the audacity to kill things with a crossbow? If someone reading this hasn't, give it a try next season. As far as endgame builds go, this is relatively cheap and offers a lot of power with much less investment than many other setups.
I have a sorc running demon machine. I used 3 piece tal (chest, belt, amulet) to get my mf and found that in p1 the 66% pierce works pretty fine too. My merc is act1 fire with mist trechery and flickering flame. This merc hits great and survives pretty well too. Found an insane 2/20 circ with dex and 2os with 2 facets. buffed up dmg is 12-15k and still avoid some places like chaos sanctuary.
Andariel's Visage is also perfect for the purpose but the combination as seen in the video: Flickering Flame + Raven Frost + SoJ + Sandstorm Trek is the best one. Highly recommend using Tal'rasha's amulet since it's practically best in slot before you craft the end-game rare amulet. Enigma is there literally only for the +2 skills; I don't see much more reason for it there. Vipermagi and especially Chains of Honor are generally a lot more useful for this build than Enigma. Also, my personal opinion about Razortail is that it's not really a good item. It only provides some pierce - it's kinda helpful for clear speed but it's absolutely useless for boss farming.
For magic find, I change the body armor to Skullder (or Enigma), Chance guards gloves, War traveller boots, 2 Nagels and Goldwrap. Rest of the gear remains the same (crossbow, helmet, amulet).
I tested the build and I can say that it is very successful; very pleasant to kill cows specifically. Unfortunately it really is squishy even with maxed resistances. Gaining All Skill levels is the priority since the overall bonuses are huge (especially for Enchant + Fire mastery altogether).
Also, I wanted to make a note that for some f***ing reason Magic Resistant monsters take very little damage from this build. I guess it's just another bug that needs fixing.

love this build.. I use enchant ormus robes with a facet and eschutas with a facet.. makes a big difference
If you want to further improve it use a +6 enchant orb with 2 facets. Ideally also with +6 fire mastery^^

Instead of energy shield, max static field, and instead of energy, max vitality. Life leech works with the explosive proc and deadly strike works with elemental damage if you ever decide to go that route. You can get very high health pool and then if you get yourself a act one mercenary, you can put the brand bow or kukokuo on her and she'll do decent damage as well as reduce the armor of enemies to make them easier to hit. You don't even need that big of a prebuff from enchant. The damage comes from fire mastery. You can also use a Brand bow which would be even better. If you put on a hustle armor and some aldurs boots or another 40% rw speed boot, you won't have to worry about getting hit as much and teleport can get you out of a bad situation or reposition your mercenary. If you find you need a meat shield or more aggression, use an act 5 frenzy mercenary with hustle. He's stupid fast.
Tested it last ladder and loved this build!
Flickering flame is best in slot, but another cool helmet is the underappreciated giant skull with 2 facets (or one and a 15ias jewel). Knockback is great on any ranged build, and paired with gore boots you get 25% cb, 35 with goblin. And on swap you can have passion or hand of justice so she can do melee too :D
Armor should be dragon, for holy fire and hydras on strike, which can be synergised if you don't mind a weaker energy shield!
I recommend to try hustle in armor, it is very fun to use. The evade and FRW is really nice. You use it in a variation where you don't teleport as much and it is even more budget than a good vipermagi.

Hi, i am wondering. Is using Brand a viable alternative to Demon Machine or are the 66% Pierce you loose to much ?
The pierce is needed, but I think more important is the explosive arrow. One hit explodes groups of monsters.
But thats it. Brand also has that mod.
Whats the tooltoip damage of this build with enchant?
And can you clear Players 8 TZ Areas in a smooth way with this build?
One of the biggest negative in D2 is basicly if you deal any type of elemental dmg without infinity they basicly useless in hell even with sunder charms. This is one of the reason for me to play only cold sorc or summon necro
Aren’t there spots where there are little to no immunities for each type of element?
@tommylongschlong3646 the spots are everywhere but even down in pits or stoney tombs there are mobs like rakinishu that are fire immune and red skeletons that are fire immunes.

Instead of going full energy, you should do a hybrid es and slap some pts into vita. Makes blood mana curse and Baal’s mana rift a LOOOT less dangerous

I have no top gear. Just completed hell for 1st time with a diff character. Respecced another lvl 45 sorc into similar bow sorc build. Looking for some budget builds. I have demon machine and Harmony i think on swap for buffing. No torches, sunder charms etc. Any advice? No razortail, no cta, no infinity etc lol. Should i run a cold merc for cc? Sotty for long post lol

Would the Assassin Armor be better? It has IAS. Fade is a lot of resistance and I think it reduces curse time and poison time.

No it just makes things easier for all characters.
you can make holy fire Bow paladin nowadays and it does a lot more damage than the sorceress one should try it out you wont regret it, keep in mind you'll need sunder + flickering flame + infinity these are a mandatory and you hit trough immunes like a bulldozer

interesting.. i trade, for instance, on my barb some items to get to 105fcr which makes certain runs sooooo much quicker
Why is FCR so important for this build, where you mainly just firing arrow? Would it matter alot if swap viperskin for COH as well?
it's for the teleport mainly. Obviously faster cast rate does not affect your attacks in any way.

yeah this build needs 3sets of gear (enchant prebuff, CtA, dmg gear) what actually aint bad either (cheaper version) is act5 merc with dual plague :)
Multishot with wind force is way more fun and faster too

I tried this build before and I thought it was super squishy. A proper Hydra/Fireball sorc is much hardier and just as effective in my opinion.
Bow sorc is easier to build as it's less gear dependent.
Grab a bow with explosive arrows and you're good to go.
Most people either don't pick up bows as drops or give it for free.
The unique long bow is lv 15 or so and easy to get.
@@zlonewolf that aint entirely true. p1 is quite OK. but p8 is different story. You need that gear for fast p8 runs. Btw this build do more dmg per arrow than any bowazon ever can. with 105FCR on off hand. If I dont count souls, then physical bowa is more tankier than this :)

Basically - the Demon Machine and the Belt is making this build.
So everything else is just.... optional :)
i am a fan of budget builds - less you have - the better, specially on Sors, because i use the sors only to find items for other chars :P
my one is with dragon armor, ormus and esucha for prebuff and 18k kill eveything. P8 chaos is easy and fun

It is super cheap.
Can clear everything on p7 with eyes closed.
And it is way faster than blizzard.
+ you run sorcerer with crossbow which is nuts.
Hello, Use Dragon for Armor, Put a Shael Rune into the Weapon for 20 IAS, you could use extra IAS from the Gloves to reach 40% IAS total, use infernostride for boots ...
when you refer to attack speed as "IAS"... xDDDDDDDDD
Demon Machine reaches the top IAS breakpoint for Sorc with only 8 IAS. Anything else is wasted and doesn't add anything.

Enigma on a Sorc??? Man, you should have used Dragon... She gets much more powerful with the holy fire aura, you have no idea. Also, Flickering Flame is a must for piercing through enemy fire res🔥

Yes you can't equip a shield with bows/xbows. You can only equip ammo offhand

If you're decked out in skillers and expensive shit like Enigma and Infinity, then pretty much any weird build can MF. Doesn't make it good or viable

With that gear almost every build "wrecks". Would be much more intresting how it plays without anni, torch and all the other high end gear which 99.9 % don't have.
