Lyrics:
You can sometimes be a pain,
think I am oh so vain
but your firmness is what is to be
you are...
Hard on Me!
I do the housework,
shine your shoes,
I think that I have paid my dues,
no reason to start a ruse you are ...
Hard on Me!
Doesn't matter to you at all,
I am always on the ball,
you come home and put up your feet,
I have to treat you like you're in a suite
I feel like I have to clean up after you like a rowdy parakeet! You are...
Hard on me!
You go to your job, and yes you get paid, but I refuse to be your maid,
it seems as of lately our love has begun to fade because you are...
Hard on me!
You come home angry, take a nap,
if the roast is slightly off you feel compelled to give me a slap!
But I refuse to be your sap you are.....
Hard on me!
And when we turn in for the night,
my presence has extinguished all your plight, you become a different gent,
and thrust your sword into my vent!
Then I don't mind if you are....
Hard on me!
But sometimes we just feel the same,
feel there's no one there to blame,
and when we rekindle our burnt-out flame, you become kinder and tame
You're not so hard....
You're not so hard...
You're not so hard....on ...me!!!
I love these hard to find old songs! 😀
So, speaking of which an idea came to me today regarding CHWR being presented in a different time. More accurately, the 1940s. Instead of it being on the internet, Rick was a weekly radio show personality, and the chat was relegated to a live audience. And, what if a certain lady crooner vocalizes her opinion of the live radio show? Well... here's what I came up with ruclips.net/video/vNNFAbEGmQY/видео.html
You’re pretty good at this! A lot of AI old songs don’t sound quite right. (Except for one here on YT called ‘Baby Assassin’, which I unironically love.)
I have some lyrics I’ve been writing for some actual period correct-ish songs, but haven’t a clue how to get the AI to give me what I want.
A few I’ve written are:
‘Goodbye and Bye’
‘Souped Up Studebaker’
‘Operator, Give Me a Number’
It definitely helps if you had exposure to these songs earlier in life. These were the melodies of my grandparents' youth. Not only that, but old Warner Bros. and Disney theatrical shorts had similar instrumentals.
In the prompt for this song, for example, in addition to the 1940s, I also include what instruments I want to be predominant. I typed bass flute and saxophone into the prompt as well as big band (sometimes orchestra) and female singer. This song was a remaster of an original that sounded a bit off. It was a tough choice between this and the other remaster, which did not include background singers, but the conclusion had a better sound.
I wish you luck with your WWII era tunes!
This artist doesn't exist, right? It's made up for uploading AI songs? Because i liked the song and searched her on Google and nothing appeared. Wow
Betty Leland. Born Bethany Agnes DeLand in Fon-du-Lac, Wisconsin April 9, 1918.
Died in Winter Haven, Florida on September 4, 1994 was a vocalist in the 1940s. She is known for songs such as "Steak and Potatoes," "Pitched Tent," and "I'll Give You My Hand." Sometimes also known as the "Raunchy Helen Forrest, Leland began her musical journey in high school, joining the school choir and local church group. After graduation, she attended the Chicago School of Music.
It was not long after in 1939 that Leland was signed onto the Icteria company which in 1941 would become Virens Records.
Leland would see much success with her records throughout the 1940s. Leland also performed at overseas USO shows during the Second World War.and continued to play shows, featuring her WWII era hits through the mid 1970s.
In the mid-1980s, Leland retired to Winter Haven, FL, where she lived peacefully after a successful musical career. She passed away at age 76 in September of 1994 due to congenital heart failure.
But yes, she doesn't actually exist. She is a product of my own overt creativity. Maybe I need to create a website about her?
