I spent long days on the water in hot weather and bright sun. I quickly found that the clothing to wear needed to have a high UV rating and fast drying material. They sell all types of reasonable priced shirts and pants. The suns heat is one issue, to be aware of but too much sun is prone to cause skin cancer. It causes headaches even if you don’t have problems with heat stroke. Sunglasses and hats that have hi UV protection are as important as hydration. Bright sun is bad for your eyes especially as you get older. The clothing increases the cooling effect of perspiration and the UV rating protects you from sunburn. Once you wear this stuff, you will never wear cotton again. I got mine years ago made by Columbia, it is bug proof as well. 🐯👍
I always travel with a umbrella but that has mainly to do with me living in the Netherlands.( always lots of rain) When it gets that hot down here which sometimes happens I usually stay indoors., But at least you found your obulb back, the happiness was real. Love the little Texan excursions by the way, it looks surprisingly like my home country down there.
Well im just glad you made it home safely with no heat stroke. That scooter of yours is a lot of fun isn't it. Ive always wanted one I just never went through with it lol. Hey William my R.R. Combat Bowie came in today. its a lot of knife for 13.00 i really like it. Thanks for telling us about it.
@dougwatkins5441 That is a nice knife for the price. Mine has developed a slight side to side wobble on the cross guard. No biggie to me, as that's easy to fix.
Looked grueling 😮 at least you got a estimate of how fast the bars drop and when you need to start heading home 😮 trying to look on the bright side 😉
@@dand3329 I try to learn from my mistakes and if that fails, set a damn good bad example of how not to do something. 🤣

@gizmocarr3093 I'll have to look into that. I like cotton because I know how it behaves.
great survival story William. glad you had the instinct and foresight to bring along an umbrella
@bluetoad2001 I made some stupid decisions and made some good decisions. I guess it balanced out this time.

@klaassiersma4892 I like my lake spot. I'll be going there more often and setting up some primitive stuff, throwing knives, and making videos.
