Look people, get the glitch or get the kick...to the kurb, justIN thYme, or Justin pHasErs seT 2 stunning cray cray kELLease sTrep dEEp throat yak yodeling debut.
What the actual fuck happened man... its been constantly downhill since love death and immortality.... It makes me almost embarrassed that people know the level of obsession I had with this group 💀
one of the members left, and i think he took the soul of the project with him. see without eyes was a perfectly fine album, not as good as LD&I, but still not bad. as soon as that member left earlier this year, the two remaining guys in TGM decided to take a different path with their sound and theyre paying the price. wish someone would make something inspired by what these guys used to make but actually do a good job of refreshing their old sound. hell, i wouldnt even mind if THEY did it, but right now their current stuff highkey sounds like its from a completely different person or group altogether, for better or for worse.
I may not be quite ready for this yet, as coming from TGM. I like this track, not denying it, and I'm intrigued to what a whole album would feel like. That being said... I'm still cared and cuddled by "Love, Death, Immortality", and "Drink the Sea", and how it has its way to "trance" me into my best clubbing days, overfilling with heartfelt emotions. In contrast, this track seems so hyper, harsh, shallow. Being way less melodic, posed, mature, deeply involving and reaching, if I compare it to let's say "Becoming Harmonious" or "Between Two Points". Don't get me wrong, different is good, different is needed. And this has a 2020s vibe all over it, despite evoking staples of 90's garage/house; go figure. I'll come back to you when I've listen to it a few times over to have a better judgement. Looking forward to that next album of yours. And sincere thanks for all the rich moments you've enabled and helped me experience and greatly live!
their older stuff shaped my taste in music and partially helped to me to define my own sound as i also create my own music. this new stuff is just not my cup of tea at all and i couldnt even force myself to like it. it has its audience, definitely, but im not a part of said audience.
Interesting vibes. It takes me back to those Matrix scenes in the clubs, slow motion, sweat, energy. Definitely using this for my Hit sessions at the gym
Sounds like a canned looped beat with some samples thrown in every now and then. Theres a lot of dead air in between them (especially on the front half of the song). And not enough background change or substance. Youre going to hate this comment but this sounds like your prior ATP album where all the songs sound the same and none are all that engaging. The breakbeat loop is good for energy but it needs to be built from and expanded. You seem to be switching to this type of musical sound from your old stuff, but while you are great at your old sound you’re still a newbie in this new sound. Keep working it. Keep learning. I got faith.
They sort of participated in the advent of glitch-hop. Anything they do now is like a bonus. And tbh, not many people know the roots of music like this. Some may hear derivation and simplicity, yet I sort of hear Detroit and Jamaica...
If by "previous ATP album" you mean CTRL ALT Reality instead of one of those compilations with other artists on the label, HARD disagree. That album was executed flawlessly despite the genre shift and was a worthy addition to their discography. All these little barebones breakbeat/club singles released after C.A.R. have at most 1/3rd of the depth of that. Luckily this one isn't quite as annoying as most.
@@WolfShi3ld My honest assumption is that they got bored with their so called "brand" of music and they are trying to do throwbavk source code style sounds, with a bit of glitch.
@@WolfShi3ld yeah i meant ctrl alt reality. I gave it a listen 2 or 3 times while at work but I just couldn’t get into it. There were songs i did like more than others on that album, but as a whole, its not one ill ever end up purchasing. I enjoy the old school breakbeat sound, but i feel it was a bit simplistic with its sample selections and relied too heavily on that same old breakbeat sound found similarly in this song. Just my opinion though! 🤷♂️
@@thefourthdymensionmusic bruh fuck ur SO RIGHT. I completely forgot about see without eyes haha. But that's basically what I mean. Ever since boreta left it just isn't the fucking same
Been a glitch mob fan since 2011 and honestly.....unimpressed with everything that's come out since see without eyes

@@thefourthdymensionmusic yeah it sucks cuz josh (ooah) and ediT always seemed like they were pulling the weight... guess not...
@@thefourthdymensionmusic basically everything AFTER 2018 is just not it unfortunately. I confused the placement of see without eyes and LDI 😅
Maybe you should consider a new alias. This isn’t anything like the old music.
This gets me in a good mood instantly. It's refreshing compared to mainstream. And sometimes, less is more.

I think this is my favourite of all you're newer stuff. It feels so nostalgic but refreshing at the same time.
I'm bored of the "revive 90s breaks" trend but oh boy this track slaps.
This feels so 2009-10. Great stuff
this is the first glitch mob song i've heard
aw, thats too bad. go back into the discography and prepare to have your mind blown
Excellent, hype, and smooth.
I'm getting some Jet Set Radio Future vibes with this
Thank god you guys can hear the fans
Feels like a glimpse at what would be a follow up to Ctrl Alt Reality 👀 Great vibes
I just stay subscribed in hopes they make something like they used to.
Where is the sound i was liked??((( we can make the world, fortune days, our demons..... top time

Love me some sick breakbeat. Reminds me of another artist whos name I kinda forgor but damn this is sick 🔥

Personally not a fan. Sounds like generic breakbeats. Seems like all the personality left the band with Boreta.
