Totally agree with you, Giuliana. If you haven't checked out her performance at Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival 2019 you should check it out. She seemed very comfortable in that venue, she smiled throughout the venue, and her blue dress was giving me Charmbracelet Tour vibes.

Do you know how many artist are great at vocal improvisation that don’t write there own lyrics. The voice and it’s sound, and such sensitivity to sound to be able to enhance or add ornamentation is solely based on ear alone. What do you here? Do you have the ability to change the key or melody without ruining the story of what is being played and projected to an audience? Are you swift, clean, and precise in your delivery? Are the questions in ones head. It is not do you write your own songs? unless you change it’s lyrical content. All of these things mentioned Mariah does and does masterfully and it is the reason she is The Songbird Supreme. Much like we all need to look at her as more then a voice, don’t just only look at her as a songwriter either, because Mariah Carey is perhaps truly (though she won’t admit) a true musical genius.

She was a lot more consistent on her notes in 2019, but 2015riah could sing higher but would be quickly have a short of breath. As you can see in this video bc of breath issues she couldn't complete a lot of the runs. Also she was high here 😂 I'd say 2015 wasn't a good year for Mariah but this Jamaica concert was so different. Even tho I love the improvises it was too much on this concert. 2019riah would sing lower notes but had better breath support and was generally consistent. Even tho 2019riahs runs were also pretty messy but it was bc of her vocal condition. Her runs were not connected and off key
Put a little reverb on the mic and she'd sound like BeaconRiah 2014. Honestly, sometimes I wonder what's up with the mic/sound engineer that's making her voice sound dry
Her voice was really cleaned and strong here. The best her tone and the confidence to go for all the notes. She even attempted the vision of love whistle (last time she ever did it live). Amazing concert overall!

THE JAMAICA ERA!!! Because she was caught lipping and that was the clip that everyone circulated at the beginning, folks tried to make this an embarrassing concert for a long time which is why it was buried but I have always stanned for the Jamaica concert. I would be here all day trying to highlight all of my favorite parts and some of them didn't make the video but I am obsessed for whatever reason by 5:57. Honestly if you sing like this live all the time we wouldn't be able to handle it.

There is magical voice moment it’s sometimes not perfect but I like the imperfect mariah she is real she really sing . We need nore moment like that . You know what i totally get that your voice changes as you grow older and MC's is no exception. There are songs that she obviously can't sing on her own anymore or like how she used to sing, she has to rely on her backup singers often and that's completely fine! I'm still a huge fan and i still enjoy her very much. She's definitely on fire in this very concert, she's singing so confidently and CREATIVELY. i just feel that (i think I'm gonna get a lot of hate for saying this) shes not bothered to sing like this in all of her recent concerts tho. I don't mind that she dodges high notes or belting if she improvises creatively like in this concert. I mean yes she has improvised in concerts but definitely not always like this. This kind of improvision sounds exactly like what Daydream/Butterfly or even Rainbow MC used to do.
This dunkriah or highriah idk which it was but gave her the relaxed state of mind and flow of confidence to be experimental and just deliver the vocals we shes capable without her nerves getting to her
