- Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear takes the podium at Fancy Farm's St. Jerome Catholic Church picnic in Graves County, Kentucky.
Every year since the early 1880s, St. Jerome Catholic Church in the small town of Fancy Farm, near Mayfield, Kentucky, in Graves County, has hosted an annual community picnic. At some point, political candidates began to see the Fancy Farm Picnic as a good chance to meet, greet, and stump for votes. Soon a platform for speaking was added, and by the middle of the 20th century, Fancy Farm had become the unofficial kickoff event for the fall campaigns.

I like how he pointed out bipartisan bills that helped move the state forward. Good on Bashear! Hope that they elect another Democrat to head the Governorship and keep KY House in Democrat hands and take the Senate too
Kentucky needs to get rid of the Republican strangle hold on their representation in Washington.
He did great as well in my opinion. Jack and Alison still gave the best ones by far though, but Steve still made some great points and arguments.
