- Emilio Navaira's band members, Grupo Rio, reunited in San Antonio and had Emilio's sons singing. Diego was lead singer and Emilio played guitar and sang backup. A very emotional but memorable night.

I was working construction at a tejano radio station and tejano bands would come by the station all the time. But Emilio did something that no one else did. He took the time to talk to us (the workers) and even got on a ladder to say hello and shake hands with the roofers. That was special because every other artist just walked by

You cam hear Emilio's voice in his son. What I don't see is Emilio's stage presence. His father commanded a stage like no other Tejano artist. That will come with time if he continues performing.

this song was composed by Eddie Perez the arrangement was composed by los fabulous aka fabulous cuatro it was recorded at Freddie records in corpus Christi the original recording was done by valley musicians all members of los fabulous why do we not get the recognition that we worked hard for most of the members have not gotten recognized by the tenant roots board why! and yet some new comers that haven't been in the trenches long enough do . I'm just venting sorry! I was the drummer on this recording and countless others with this band if you ask me it's just politics as usual how in the hell can't they not induct David Garza the bass player as he along with Pete Garza from Latin breed were true innovators for tejano music. the board needs some very serious direction as to who deserves to be inducted? el Valle continues to be left out
