How is the quality of the map? Is it much worse than the SCS standard or just a little bit? Because I don't think that it will be better than the SCS quality states they release
That main to know is that the expanded map has to use ATS assets so things will not be perfect and the most iconic landmarks, buildings, etc will be missing. It’s fun, but only as a way to feel like you’re exploring the US in a “been there but wasn’t much to see” kind of way.
At the end of the day mods won't always be on par with the vanilla stuff in terms of quality and that's OK because you can see the love and passion of those mods people made
By far the best map mod is Mexico by Team Reforma, in some parts even better than average SCS maps. Promods is also great but rather small area of British Columbia
Yeah they are not SCS quality. A lot of the highways feel "copy paste". But I actually liked some areas like Key West, Florida and some parts of Canada.
All due respect but your game is in 1.50. How is this a tutorial for 1.52? Also what is going on with OK, KS and NE? There is nothing there? I tried to use the C2C and 50U (formerly Midwest Expansion) and those also broke KS and NE for me and really screwed up AR for me. I have all DLCs and only truck and Trailer paint jobs that I created and they are compatible with all mods.
The tutorial was made before with 1.50. Now the mod is updated for 1.52 and nothing has changed. The installation process is the same. And that’s normal because OK and KS are official DLCs. You will get them when you buy them. Midwest expansion is most likely not updated so don’t use that.

my documents folder didn't have ATS in there. *I'm also new to modding*
If you already played the game before, the folder should be there

Nothing will beat SCS only thing close is Promods but I do respect the work these modders do. An they do the best with what they have. 😊

If your car/truck mod is installed properly, you will see it. Make sure to extract the zip file and activate the mod in mod manager.
