The Stunt Bat was the first revolutionary kayak to first merge squirt tricks and plastic river running into modern freestyle kayaking that I know about. Jan and you guys really pushed ..running Gorilla in Stunt Bats after Ocoee Rodeo 91? Arndt brought the skills and Hurricane to extended tours America... Every time some kids says ''The RPM was the start of...'' I interrupt to say ''Silly rabbit - you're not even close''.
The progression people made in these boats on white water is often far quicker than their modern equivalents. Got to admit an awesome video so many memories of these boats and times.
Oh man this is a nice historical document. Thanks. That lefty C 1er towards the end is awesome to see. From another lefty, that guy is smooth and studly.
Never was into "playboating" too scared and never could dream of water like that, but oh, the feeling I got doing my first ender on the Orchy, sheep trolley gorge, in my brand new Corsica s. I'll never forget it. Thanks for the video
those pirouettes where fantastic. We used to use our Hydra Taurus to do enders and pirouettes on nosestand rapid on the north fork of the american river in California. It was a can't miss ender hole that was non turbulent. You just eased your way up to it and it would suck you down to your waist and spit you out in a vertical position. No real skill required. It was a totally different era back then. The guys in the video looked to be in some big water but the stuff they do now days is insane.

This is my era. When boating was fun even if it wasn’t cool.

Absolutely brilliant. Love the paddle twirls and 4 wide surfing. Thanks for posting.
I'll never complain about paddling an old boat again
Sooo good!
Enders at Frank Bell on the French Broad used to be one of my favite things to do.
Einfach Klasse, danke!
Was ein super Video. Danke dafür. Liebe Grüße aus em Kaiserstuhl
Don’t forget about the nu wave boats from good old PA, loved my cruise control

ha ha I remember Jan Kellner doing the strobe light night paddle at Ausgburg in '95. Made me feel sick just watching!
Takes me back. Well... not all the way back. You'd have to go back 40 more decades to take me all the way back.
So are you saying that you're over 400 years old?
@@csgoodstuff No. I'm much older. LOL! My screw up. I meant 4. Not proof reading raises its ugly head. Ouch! Word beatering.
Good times. Hope you're doing well.
Ha! Da hat der Horst ja ein Schmankerl hochgeladen. Oarsome! Gruesse aus Neuseeland!
Looks like the Triple Step on the Guil?
1:03 did he just do contact staff moves in the rapid?
Big long boat for playboating
Awesome
Looks like sea yaks compared to today. WHO’s big money in the green boat. That little boat probably cost more than the car I was driving at the time
❤
Yah freakin’ hoo!
Now go back another 15 years to four meter (13’2”) fiberglass kayaks.
