Brilliant treatment of this beautiful song! I ordered a Neo Ventilator recently - just got word tonight that it's been sent. I'll play my Nord C1 through it. I also ordered a Behringer Xenyx mixer with the Vent, as I want to be able to use headphones. I was glad to read your Hammond half-moon switch works with the Ventilator; I'll do the same with the C1's. Can't wait! Again - GREAT playing!
Thanks Brian, I'll have a go at most things, just because we play Organs/Keyboards it shouldn't stop us playing anything......unless its to hard of course lol....can't believe it's 9 years since I recorded that one..... Cheers, Keith
Beautiful. Takes me back to some great memories. Great sound. That Hammond looks like a fantastic instrument. The Tyros sounds great. I hear the TY 4 is coming out around October or so. Will be interesting to see what will be onboard.
Well that's very nice of you say I've been an inspiration for you to practice, I'm flattered. Your right there are so many toy's for keyboard players, but I always get drawn toward a good Hammond/Leslie sound, something I've always loved. Hope you enjoy learning to play Keyboards, Keith
Hi Rudy, great to hear from you again. My setup has changed quite a bit since that video, I know have an Hammond XE200 and Roland BK-7m, but most importantly I still have the Vent, oh and a duet at your place! now that would be fun! Keith
By the way Keith, I added the ventilator to my system. No question about it. It's Hot. Its been a while since I added any new videos. Been so damn busy. Not so much in the music business. More like in remodeling our home. Lol. Rudy
Glad you like the Vent Rudy, it makes a hell of a difference, I'm already looking forward to your next video, hopefully with the Vent. I'm currently remodeling my music room, and I can tell you now I'd much rather be playing in it Lol. Keith
Thanks again Sam, I sold the Neo, I just use the SK2's internal Sim now which, (and I may be the odd one out here), I actually like a lot. When I got my SK2 I tried both but found the Vent gave a more choked sound and slightly reduced the Bass, I kept the Vent for about 2 months after buying the SK2 but didn't use it so it went with no regrets, I know a lot prefer the Vent with the SK's, but I'm happy with the internal, looking forward to getting the new SKX...:)
yep I get it ...the numa leslie is great ..... and the roland is ok - but my Leslie 122 - nothing like it - just the best - I might have bought your NEO tho , to use with a few things.....
Great music, Keith. Your videos using different keyboards and interfaces such as the sim give a Moriad of options for musicians. But I haven’t seen any mention of the amplifier(s) that you use. Also, when using the Hammonds which have sims built in, why do you find it advantageous to use another sim? Are they superior? I play a SK-X and am struggling with amplifier selection. Right now I am playing through a modest home audio receiver with floor speakers. It doesn’t sound bad but clearly would not be practical for stage use. I am considering a Leslie 3000 and wondering if I really need it when I have the built in simulator. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Now I will go back to listening to your music. Thank you so much.
Hi Keith, I'm thinking about buying the XLK3 lower manual and wondered if I could pick your brains. Have you ever put the Tyros on the two manual set-up, and if so is the music rest too far away? I have the extension brackets that bring it in-line with the Tyros LCD screen. I've been using the Tyros as a second manual but it's not very convenient to play but the sound is superb with the Ventilator. Any words of wisdom? Thanks, Keith ( Up the A55 )
@cheshire1uk The Hammond sound is totally unique. I love hearing it. Do you ever use the Hammond as the keyboard input into the Tyros (since the Hammond has more keys than the Tyros) or do you always play the two separately?
5 stars. Your video does what it sets out to do. The Ventilator is just amazing isn't it. Couple of questions.... How have you placed the Tyros on top of the XK3 without its falling off the back? And have you got the xk3's split on the bottom octave to control the auto-comp? What midi channel are you sending on? Nice playing :-) Keith, regards Keith. P.S. Please upload some more.
Hey, nice performance, dude! the overall handling of your leslie simulator seems to go pretty well, managed by your hands, at least. Some moments, your fingerwork gets a little sloppy when changing main motif/melody tones, but otherweise you play quite well. I don't like the playback too much, there are no vocals inculded at all....kinda sad, for this is what makes this Neil Diamond-Hit what it is: a diamond. Keep up the good work! Greetings by Pianojoe from germany
Sorry, I have to thumbs down. You played beautifully, but you left out the instrumental in the middle! That is what everyone whistles too! Otherwise, great!

I really enjoyed this Keith, sounded brilliant. It is not a tune I would think of playing but I think you may have made me change my mind.

One of my favourite organ videos.
Nice! Gives me an incentive for what to learn on my XK-3.
Just adorable! I am in love with B3. XK3 does the job very well. Nice playing, btw.
This is nice. I'm glad you're playing it in Am. I can practice my solo accompaniment :)
Really nice version. Great sound. Love this tune. Great job!!!
Awesome. I love Hammond sound. Im playing a B3. But now we want to upgrade it to a SKX.
Petru Petru thanks sadly Keith died in February this year but would have liked your comments.
Best regards Carolyn.
1982: Iowa City, IA. Salvation Army Thrift Store. A beautiful B3 in the window in perfect condition. I bought it for $75 and gave it to my mom.

Great job. Keep up the good work. Not too many keyboardist's could make that song sound enjoyable.

Waaw ,de Hammond is good.
+Kuif Kuifje Thanks :)
I LIKE IT. You did a great job on this one. I see you have a similar setup as I. Come on over and we'll play a duet together. Lol. Rudy.

@cheshire1uk Are you using the Tyros for the background rhythm here? If so it is a preset factory beat or did you have to make it. Thanks.
Thanks
Wonderful sound!!!!! i have a hammnond xk3, can you say me the configuration please???
THANKS!!
How'd you get the half moon switch to work with the pedal? Did you wire it yourself (given that's the mode of operation)?
cool man
Can you play one malagasy song. For example Isaoranay (Bessa bodo Lola)

Super the ventilator Leslie Sim I don t know!
この曲好き、この曲を知ったのは、ベンチャーズが日本公演で聞かせてくれた、夢のカリフォルニア!
What is the Ventilator --? who makes it --?---Who sells it--??------Great music----Charlie
@P14N0J0E This was a Mamas and Papas hit, not a Neil Diamond hit.
