Ice is definitely cooking but Qu is doing all the work. Let's put things in order, warzone wise: -Stigmata can have 100% field time -Hyperreal can't have 100% field time -Crimson Weave can have 100% field time -Lamia can't can have 100% field time -Qu can can have 100% field time Hyperreal can't solo because his kit prevents him from performing a continuous rotation unless you sacrifice damage Lamia is pretty orb hungry but diving (core) can net you energy to stay on the field for longer. This puts Hyperreal in a very bad light, with the arrival of fire Watanabe, he looks even worse compared to all the gen2 Attackers in terms of kit and damage. Honestly, my impression for Kuro's decision making when it comes to character balance has never been on the most positive side. The magic really wears off after the first couple of characters with special functions and the amazing looking ultimate moves can get really monotonous. To keep it short, the meta for warzone has stagnated. If the character's kit does not contain: -A high burst ultimate that can take advantage of the 2second buff of Da vinci. -A rotation to use double ultimate to make up for the swap cooldown -Time lag Calculation for 1st and 2nd ultimate animation Unless the future characters have a way to combat against time lag abuse burst, warzone will always aim for the highest damage output and really boring gameplay. That said, Qu isn't entirely tedious to play (yet) and aiming for really high score also comes with its challenges, there are more gameplay variations outside of warzone but Kuro needs to step it up with the fun factor or else long time players will leave, which is happening already. Anyway, drop a comment and let me know what are your thoughts on PGR in its current state, would love to hear your opinion on this too.
Waiting for a char to slow down time (not stop, but slow) and deal 5x more damage or smth, no ult burst go brr, just clicking ult activates the slow down of time and new movesets for each orb with its damage more, having to do a proper rotation before the timer of the ult runs out.
Assuming you have Nanamech and plan to keep playing her - if you had to pull only one - would you pull Hyperreal SS3, or would you pull watanabe SS3. Please let me know 😂
I personally would like more updated frames for all the elements, so switching doesn't feel as smogde as is right now. Personally, i have no problem with wz and pgr's current state, but frankly, that's just cause i like the game so much and dont really mind how wz works, either, i do however understand that some may not be happy but i believe it should balance out when we get more updated frames aka the fire team.
Actually, in terms of gameplay, Gen 1 attackers can compete with Gen 2 attackers in terms of high levels of damage, however, they don't have time lag abuse so instead of making new characters that have high burst damage + tla, they just give Gen 1 attackers a bigger buff. . Imagine that Lucia Plume can compete with Qu Shukra in terms of damage output without any time lag, how cool is that? Anyway, for the newest character, I don't need any more time lag characters, just a character with skills and an interesting ultimate animation is enough, that's my opinion.

Kuro aint beating the braindead hypercarry accusations. Their decision making is totally dogcràp ever since the release of gen 2 units. Instead of making swap-based team with enough complexity to use your brain which was their main forte, they now make hypercarry team comps with an attacker that has a one trick pony core passibe thats so braindead easy that even a fifth grader with a whale account can beat you. But whats your reward? An ego and whatever 5% reward you get that cant be attained by f2p and dolphin players I can give an exception to Epitaph Watanabe. And you know whats worse? They literally dont give a fck about the uns. They literally only have one endgame content and there has been no un since noan patch. Teddy isnt even confirmed to be one so dont get your hopes up. So my TLDR is that kuro has been getting better in story making, presentation, QoL features and opportunities for new players but are now devolving in their gameplay decision makings
IDK why they went with this approach, it's like the easy way out "since WZ is like a panic rush always keeping track on the timer, let's release units who can stop said timer every ultimate so there is a need to spam it in order to get better results." This makes that people only care about DPS units release and only whales care about other roles for just a little bit of extra bonuses, rotations now are just a QTE fest... There was a more simple way to fix this imminent boring routine IMO, for example they could care less about damage in the least amount of time and more about performance, like how you went about clearing waves, they could make a set amount of waves instead of infinite repeats of the same enemies and have each wave have more complex way to kill untill the last instead of being a damage sponge. I liked how GEN 1 worked before, it felt like each role mattered more in the team, you know what it lacked and made swapping not worth it even on PvE? The fact that you get to a state where you want to swap but can't, I would have simply made each role have a more unique way to tackle this while encouraging people to build a proper team: DPS units are good as they are, maybe less lengthy ultimates. Tanks are the units capable of grouping the mobs and control them while removing their super armor. Supports are in charger of debuffs and buffs for when you swap back to the DPS with the new addition of having a passive that reduce swapping CD with each 3 ping so the rotation doesn't come to a stop of waiting for the swap CD and feel more organic. Having mobs super armor matter more so you are encouraged to use the tank to remove it and supports having a lot of slow and debuff so enemies doesn't scatter so they are prep for the DPS to clean. That was what I used to do with the Gen 1 lighting team minus the Swap CD reduction, I opened with Bianca to do some initial damage then swap to Vera to group all enemies and shred then swap to Liv to slow them all and place heals, if she had the ability to reduce swap CD I would have quickly change back to Bianca and clean with her passive but I ended up waiting for the swap and the enemies get the chance to scatter again, if Liv (The Support) had the swap CD thing, it would be an organic AF rotation, sadly tanks and supports are used for QTE only nowadays and mobs are only damage sponges. It's sad to see PGR gameplay devolve into something repetitive when it's one of it's selling points, for me it was more about how the characters work together rather than who has the flashiest attack animations, what's even the point of mobs super armor bars? Supports that heal got replaced by units who only add more damage to the DPS and DPS have become so forcibly necessary that they do all the others job, they group the mobs, they break the SA bars and they refund themselves and their pings, I got reduced to logging in once every 2 or even 3 days to avoid uninstalling the game all together. I would have lose hope in Kuro if not for Wuthering Waves being a thing, so now I wait.
