I actually built my first ever quad using nothing other than information from your videos. That included programming the multiwii se, the gps receiver, the i2c board, the bluetooth module and the sonar sensor. Without your videos I would of had to spend many many hours trawling the net to gather all the information I needed. Please keep making these video's, the rc world needs you :) Thanks again for all your hard work!
Years of past oh how we have evolved, I'm still in love with Armattan myself started with the Tilt-HEX 6" and have never regretted the decision! Now days I'm flying a 3" Japalura and 4" Gecko both Armattan models and both a dream to fly! Grate information and at this time in 2020 it's a nice change of pace and I for one aprepreit these old videos still being left up for the new and old alike to enjoy! 🥃cheers🍻
Yep Ditto. More info to chew on. Thanks. Nice scenery in the vid, guess that was the canal? You mentioned your city in another video, was that the main church steeple seen?
Painless360 it was named the multiwii as its a modified Wii Game Console Remote PCB. It uses the Wii Motion PCB and Components repurposed to be a flight controller for a Quadcopter. Technically if you can solder well and have the prowess as well as a wii remote with motion sensors etc. you can take apart the remote and make your own Multiwii board :D

Thanks for your well presented videos, they're very informative. I'm new to R.C., and have a question regarding Turnigy 9X transmitters. I don't see a type selection for anything larger than a quad (I've built an octo and wish to get it calibrated and etc). I know, you're going to say that I've jumped in over my head, lol. Do you have any input on this?
Hi Bill, thanks for the feedback. The board on the model does all the 'smart' mixing so you just need to send the control inputs to it and let it take care of the rest. This video - How to Setup The Turnigy 9x For a Quadcopter seems to answer what you need. Hope it helps. And you're right - you are starting at the higher end of the scale! ;) Just be aware that the crashes that will happen as you learn will be a LOT more expensive on that larger model. On the upside you will learn a lot about model maintenance, setup and repair in a very short time! :) Seriously though, think about practicing with a smaller model, it will be safer and less expensive while you get to grips with the hobby. Happy flying!
Hi, Thank you for your interesting vids. I am a newbie to RC> I recently embarked on buying components for a Quad, based on a tarot 650 Sport Frame and 4114 motors, 15.55 props Xrotor 40a esc's Radio : Taranis + with X8R Rx. FC : Pixhawk. (using s-bus to Rx) I have completed the construction. Now, I wish to start configuring the X9D+ So far, configured the basic std AETR (Ch1,2,3,4) Thanks to your Vids! As you may know, the 650 Sport have Electric Landing Gear (ELG) I was thinking that I will assign Switch for ELG Operation and then Ch7 on Pixhawk to connect to the phys ELG. My challenge at this time > How do one configure the Radio to operate the ELG, provided that my hardware selection is ok (SF>PixCh7) or what other options? btw, when using the s-sbus, can one also use some of the unused channels on the X8R for this ELG application, thus, mix between the x8r o/p channels and s-busFC I will appreciate if you can assist me or point me in the right direction, or a vid that explains how to setup the radio for to operate the ELG It will give my confidence a great boost if I can flick a switch on the Radio to retract/extend the ELG before attempting to run motors! Thank your for your many valuable contributions to this exciting RC world Regards, Gerhard
Hi, Thank you for your extremely helpful videos. I need to build a Quad for my research project. I'm a but tight on the bidget because I'm funding it myself. Currently, I have everything set-up in mind except the Flight Board. Now, I don't know what type of capabilities I'll need from the FB but I'm sure I'd need advance programming and GPS. So I was thinking about Getting the APM. But can I used a Raspberry Pi as a FB? Is it even possible or not? What are the limitations of MultiWii? I'll be very thankful to you if you would help me out in this matter.
Great video. Do you feel it's worth the extra for a 3DR APM 2.6 or is it ok to go for clones? If clones, is there a way to test them out before installation to make sure everything is working properly? Thanks.
Shakunt Tambe All of my APM 2.X boards are clones, one from Banggood.com, and the rest from sellers on eBay. All have been great. Here is a video that covers my thoughts on the boards covered on the channel so far and may help you decide what to go for - ruclips.net/video/k4tQAmg2ssA/видео.html Best of luck with it.
Hi, have you done any set up with the Tarot ZYX-m fc at all??? I've got one installed on my S550 hex, but having trouble setting up fc. Have not seen many good vid's on this fc.RegardsKen
I'm almost entirely convinced that my magnetometer is mounted 90 degrees in the wrong direction on my HK multiwii pro controller. Despite what the arrow says, after I callibrate my accelerometer and then magnetometer, then point the board due south (I'm going by the big white arrow printed on the board), all of my guis (multiwiiconf, both linux and windows version, as well as muliwiigui for windows) say that the board is facing due WEST. It's precisely 90 degrees off, every time. Is this possible?
Bill Isaacs Hi Bill, I've had this once when I selected the wrong type of board in the Arduino programming software. The board seemed to be 90 degrees out, no matter what I did. I'd go back to the start and re-flash the board. I hope this sorts it for you. Happy flying
This is something that I've made a video or two about. Please see this video - ruclips.net/video/P4soR6QgOk0/видео.html - that should help you find those videos and help you find the answers you need quickly. Best of luck!
Outstanding video sir, I have been in the quad-rotor hobby for a few years now and I find them a pleasure to fly. You can bank and yank them like a airplane and fly them like a Heli. Great info Painless360. Wayne PARCQR

Hey Painless
Your info is still up to date.
I'm starting now with this Hobby 2019
And glad to follow your lesson's
Frits from Holland
Welcome to the hobby, Check out the playlists that are called '.. for beginners' or 'Introduction to..' as they are made for new pilots. Happy flying!
I want to move where you live! Great scenery in the live flight video.
nice video very informative as usual... thanks....

AWSOME!!! good info. I did not know this, but it is genius!
Thanks a lot for this video
Nice job
I've actually found the Kk board hard to tune, the NAZE32 is a fantastic and low priced start, basically works out of the box!
cool
awh man! why cant i just take the next fly to england and met you build my drone?
+Oskar Jennische lol! Let me know if you make it to the UK ;)

+Ken Morriss sorry, but we haven't. Best of luck!
What does the 250 in a 250Quad refer to?
+Rav Gupta It's used as a shorthand for the size of the model and refers to the distance (in millimetres) between the motors. Happy flying!
