    I have the Watson. With the leg kit and center support. And a bunch of other crap. Love it. All of it. Burky is a great man.

    Got a Mycroft as well. Looking forward to getting legs for it! (and some accessories I missed out on last time)

    Time to see if Game Topper will sponsor a trip to the North Carolina coastline for you. Show off the true portability on a cross country flight :).

    Mycroft work well for tabletop games too? That’s primarily what I play, like to be able to spread out the larger games (like Star Wars Rebellion) without being cramped

      @DriveThruReview  2 года назад +2

      Oh definitely. I've fit Rebellion comfortably even on the Watson size.

    Hey, Joel! I always had to questions about the game topper, if you don't mind I will ask them to you: First one comes from the fear I have that the top is not really stable. Do think it might flip over if someone leans on it? And second, does the top slide or moves at all while being use?
    Probably silly doubts, but since you actually use one I thibk you will know the answers.
    Thanks!

      I've had two different Toppers (the Watson and now Mycroft) on two different tables. The first table I used was a cheapie (60$) plastic folding table from Costco. I never had any problems with slipping or flipping the table, not even close. I think just about all of my gaming friends in our core group have a Topper at this point (a lot of them do), and I don't know all the tables they've used, but we've never had any of those issues while playing. I mean.. it's not even been the beginning of a concern.
      Now... I will say it's probably feasible someone would an issue like this. I will exaggerate a minute, but like... if you put a Topper on a TV tray (or equivalent)... well that won't work. So, you should put some thought into the table you'd put underneath.
      The table I'm using now is one of those that's basically a big piece of wood with the legs that fold under it.

      Hey, Zip. I own the Game Toppers "Holmes" model, with a 36" x 72" playing surface. It's the same 72" length as the Mycroft, but 36" versus 48" wide. I, too, like Joel, began on a 30" x 72" plastic folding table ("Cosco" brand from Walmart). No way would you be able to tip it over unless the whole table and Topper went together. Game Toppers recommends that we don't have more than 7 inches of overhang from the supporting table on all sides. It's like the Topper is welded onto its supporting table. It won't slide either due to the very grippy 3M rubber strips all along the outer rails, and 4 strips underneath the Topper that go from side-to-side. There are 2 of those strips on each half of my Holmes. If you try to slide the Topper, the table itself is going to slide. No way the Topper will slide on its supporting table. Their new leg kit is solid. They spent a lot of time developing it. Hope this helps out.

    I’m debating between the holmes
    Or Mycroft model. Any thoughts on that.

      Depends on how much space you have honestly. If you can afford and have the room, I'd go Mycroft every time :)

    Would a mycroft table work good/safely on top of a 6ft fold in half table?

    • @DriveThruReview
      @DriveThruReview  2 года назад +2

      100%. Of course, it depends on the underlying table, but I used to have such a table that I got from Costco. They always have those cheap-ish plastic folding tables for about 60$? It was one of those.

      @@DriveThruReview Thank you! That question has been on my mind for a while because I always see game topper images on top of "regular" tables, and I never can tell if my table (costco folding as well) is gonna handle it. You rock sir!

    My main concern is shipping. Marvel Zombie shipping was $400... to ship a table... I hope shipping has been thought out.

      @@normanl.6891 What does that have to do with anything?
      You do know they preplan the SG and the whole campaign months before. SG are not surprises to them, they have them already done and 100% planed out before the KS. The rates are estimated are given at the core (with SG) and shows different pledge levels, including the GlacticBig mini prices. Even if the SG was not planned for, to add $365 for a SG box is not a sound reason.
      The point is the shipping estimate, if it is the incorrect values given on shipping.
      At the moment this KS shows the shipping at $120-$160. I am just saying I hope that it is thought out and actually looked into rather then just guessed at. I would not wish t have the same hike, and find shipping cost is 8 times this amount.
