So how did you end up setting up the controller? 0100 and then just the temp you wanted? Did you end up setting an alarm?

Yeh after it was unlocked I just set the temp. I haven't played around with the alarms yet. I don't think I'll need them.

what does the pickling do?

It cleans any oxidization there may be on the metal to make sure it's really clean before I melt it again.

Yeah in the next video I'll show some macro photos of it before I melt it down. The metal only went through the center sprue with a few of the sprues going out to the pieces, but not even starting to go into anything yet. It's very clean and looks really good! Very good sign!
