Sorry I know this is a huge gap between your posting and now, but in terms of circumstances, Keria originally wanted to play for T1 at some point in his career, but once he saw that he wouldn't get his chance to start he joined DRX as a trainee instead since he also wanted to play with Deft. He did want to continue to play with Deft following the 2020, but T1 recognized his talent after his rookie season and decided to finally offer a starting spot to him. Deft pushed him to take the offer since he believed that T1 was the best possible competitive team for Keria and wanted him to pursue whatever would give him the best chances of success. Deft later said the same to Chovy and Doran after the 2021 season, who both wanted to play with Deft since it was originally going to be his final year, but he told them to join the best possible team instead of wasting their golden time (their prime) on him, which in this case was Gen G with Ruler. Of course everything is history this past worlds where Deft and his teammates on DRX defied all expectations and made the miracle run, thus saving his career and peoples perception of him (as well as him being able to resolve the military draft issue so he could play an additional year, this time on DK and having a potential chance of going to Asian Games as well).
