This show was so good it deserves to be even more well known. Beautiful writing. I love how there’s so much chaos and upsetting moments but really it’s all about this amazing and goofy couple who love each other.
Him and Her was genius. Me and the wife used to laugh our heads off at it simply because we saw ourselves in it. The coarse bits, the rudeness and the toilet moments were spot on.
It was like listening to the music of Suede or Pulp. It celebrated normality. No airs and graces, just people being beautifully ordinary.
Only The Royle Family dared to do that.

Don't know this show at all, but it sounds excellent. The enthusiastic cast seems to really click. I came for Tovey, only recently "discovered" by me whom I think quite marvelous.
This show was excruciatingly awkward and funny as hell. Such a shame it only got 4 series.' I was surprised to learn that it was a BBC property. Who would have thought something this genuine and funny could come from the BBC.

I love the show. I go back to it once in a while but I don't think season 4 worked really well. But season 1 to 3 is great.
I absolutely loved this show growing up ahah, just thought as a kid it represented so much more of what real low working class life is like with amazing comedy…shows like this, Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps are true modern British comedies…just a shame with all the political correctness today they won’t make shoes like this anymore
