The Banjo Bolster gets a big thumbs up!

  • I was sent a product to review called the Banjo Bolster (well, actually one for my "main" banjo and one for the cello banjo) and I loved them both. They are definitely the best "stuffing" I've ever used. Not sure how well the differences will come across over my not-very-sophisticated recording setup, as they're somewhat subtle, but let me just say the Banjo Bolster makes me want to keep playing because I love the sound! The banjo rings out clearly without loss of volume, but without the overtones that detract from that sound. The Banjo Bolster website is here if you'd like to read more about them and order one for yourself: banjobolster.com/

It's always great to hear you play the banjo. You got a big fan in bavaria🇩🇪. So please keep up making videos. 👍

"Every note rings individually, instead of stepping on the heels of the note that came before."
That's so aptly put, and corresponds with my own experience using the Banjo Bolster. Thanks for reviewing this marvelous product, which is proving to be such a help for pulling out pleasing tones.

Agreed. Bought one and love it. Use it on my banjo with resonator back. Noticed my digital tuner jumps around less when tuning. Notes are more spot-on. Thanks to the makers.

Yes! I could really hear the difference with and without the bolster on cello banjo. Thanks for sharing.

So much more clarity of the fundamental note on the cello banjo! Also the hammer-on notes have more authority.

Sounds good, Hilarie especially on the Cello Banjo. The clarity is good, and the banjo still can ring out and sustain. Nice.....

Looks kind of funny, I use the fits all dampener by Gold Tone.
They should consider different patterns other than Mexican “churro” brown. like a handkerchief pattern, in blue or red. I’d might consider it then!

I had to go back and listen ;-)
The very first thing that I just noodled a line of was Banjo Tramp. Then I was playing Quince Dillon’s High D (but in C!) and I probably (without planning or thinking about it) played it because it covers 2 whole octaves.)
