- Filmed in Paris on 7 May 1974 for Casablanca Records, T.Rex’s US label at the time, Light of Love was a disco/pop/soul crossover hit. In the US and Canada T.Rex released an LP of the same name in August 1974, a mixture of tracks from Zinc Alloy and the Hidden Riders of Tomorrow - which was not released in North America - and new tracks recorded for the project. In the UK these later ended up on the Bolan’s Zip Gun album.
The single reached number 22 in the UK following its release on 5 July 1974.

Glam rock died when Marc died, bless him, yesterday marked 45 years since he was tragically killed in a car crash…he did have a very strong premonition that he wouldn’t live very long, he was 29, soon to be 30.

Love this he was one of my all time favourites

Back in the day, considered to not be the greatest of Marc's portfolio, but in retrospect, something of a funky offering ! Guitar work quite tight and the poppy beat is appealing. B-side was atmospheric / heavy and the blurry video would now be artistically sensual.
