Thanks for sharing this video. I'm 62 and after watching this I feel I could set up a salt tank. Of which I have always wanted to try. wish me luck and happy Reefing.
Everyone goes on about biological filtration (which is important like live rock ) but using bio balls but in my opinion accumulates so much debris that it does the opposite of filtration. For a tank that size all you need is a reliable protein skimmer some filter floss in the over flow box changed weekly, and plenty of water movement/oxygenation I recommend siphoning the coral sand every so often. I don’t care much for filter socks in sumps. I also recommend if you live near a clean beach use natural unfiltered sea water it better than that synthetic salt in my opinion
In the next video Paul bart shows you how to make a mall shaped aquarium. He does this with no enthusiasm at all because he just failed police fitness test
Very nice video explanation, i need information on which pump i need to use for my 65 gallons as well, anyone has a good reference thank you ( saltwater 65 gallon )
How to set up a salt water aquarium? I learned from this that my fish and coral will die within the first month. You never covered the important equipment such as an RO unit if needed, how much salt to add per gallon, protein skimmer, lights, live rock? What media is in your filter? Water parameters such as ammonia, nitrite and nitrates, salinity etc? Very poor information indeed.
Living in the UK this set up is way too expensive for my budget. Work out the cost in US dollars and you can triple the total in British Pounds. One kilo of rock in UK will cost you about $40+.. The amount you used would be astronomical The tank alone would cost me around $400

A great video for a basic saltwater aquarium. I wish I had this as a reference when I first started in the hobby.
The finished product looks like one of those fires that fits into your wall and works with a remote.
It looks like fireplace more than aquarium 😂
lol, true....i gotta admit though the branch rock is growing on me. just gotta be a little more creative than making it look like firewood
basic is an understatement with that hardscape

something about putting a pointy ass rock bottom as a base rock, directly on the glass, it just gives me chills.
do you need a wavemaker/powerhead for an artificial reef tank?
I was hoping to see the sides of the tank too.
did anyone else notice the camera persons reflection laughing and waving their arms? lmfao
They absolutely do sell coralline algae in a bottle
Can you put a link to the products used

Random Randomness there’s a big difference between a saltwater aquarium (fish only) and a reef tank. BIIIIIIIIIIG DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!
What's the name of the aquarium? Wich brand? Tanks!
Marineland 65 gallon Reef-Ready
And the overall price everything tank and all equipment used
Rockwork looks wrong, like something you'd see more in a cichlids lagoon tank, definitely not marine
That tank is literally my aquarium lol
looks like supermans home
3/4 full, did you run outta money? 😂
Ifyou dont explain what you are doing someone like me with no knowledge is lost

Nope. Feel sorry for that 65g-
What’s this guy building? A fire? I don’t understand branch rock I guess. Useless in my opinion.
rock work is not what I would do.
You added expensive water and rock looks awful, anyone want to start salt yet?
He's gasping after he poured all the water,ha,ha,ha,ha
