Fire On Blonde - Wrong Number [Vocal Edit] (1987)

Songwriter / Producer Michael Jay has written a number of songs that became pop hits - and when he really believed in his songs, he would produce them with multiple artists looking for that breakthrough. I first discovered this with his song "Cross My Heart" which I first heard by Eighth Wonder, then shortly after, heard Martika's version as well.
He apparently also did the same thing with his song "Wrong Number" - it started in 1987 with Los Angeles duo Fire On Blonde, and when it failed to make a big impact, he brought it back again a few years later with another artist... (which will be posted Wednesday!)

No offense, but it was when this style of music came to be in the 80s that I couldn't stand to listen to much of it any longer.
