    Have you heard of that famous theologian Michael Servetus ? He was a spanish Christian Tgeologian also known as Miguel Serveto . He was also a physician, cartographer, and Renaissance humanist. He was the first European to correctly describe the function of pulmonary circulation, as discussed in Christianismi Restitutio (1553). He was a polymath versed in many sciences: mathematics, astronomy and meteorology, geography, human anatomy, medicine and pharmacology, as well as jurisprudence, translation, poetry and the scholarly study of the Bible in its original languages.After carefully studying & researching He concluded that the Concept of Trinity is wrong & Jesus was not divine / God . He wrote books on this subject ; (1) Christianismi Restitutio (The Restoration of Christianity), ,(2) De Trinitatis Erroribus (On the Errors of the Trinity) ,(3) Dialogorum de Trinitate (Dialogues on the Trinity) and (4) De Iustitia Regni Christi (On the Justice of Christ's Reign). So He started preaching the Oneness of tge God & Jesus being not that one Gid but a Prophet of the God ( Islam) . The Christian Churches did not like it & accused Him of being Heretic & put Him on a drama unfair trial & BURNT HIM ALIVE WHILE PUT HIS BOOKS ARPUND HIM !! The Christian Churches gave a clear message to us ; if anyone expose their FALSE religion than they will do that to us . Tell me , is this love or TERRORISM ??!!

      Even if the theological concept of Trinity is wrong there is no way Jesus were a prophet of Islam. Islam it wasn't a thing until Muhammad. Also if Jesus is prophet of Islam then he is far more superior than Muhammad, because he is the Son of Allah, he was risen from the dead, he performed miracles etc.

    As hunger calls for food and thirst for water..so what does this deep longing in my heart call for..it longs for satisfaction by who or how..as a car runs on gas..my spirit must run on God..for hope, filling, peace and comfort I must go to him..the Christian God foots that bill for me..maybe not for everyone. The beauty of Theism is that it makes possible a rship with that which is stronger than him. If you had a rich uncle who could help you but refuse his help because you don't understand him..that would not be wise. If you refuse help from that who is stronger than you, how shall you be helped? Agnostic is appealing but not satisfying.. What makes a person a friend is the rship you have with him/ her..not merely knowing their name#..From Nairobi. Kenya

    • @atin1616
      @atin1616 4 года назад +1

      And you know that same beauty exists in the nihilism and self-humbling views of Buddhism/Taoism, where we no longer need a stronger party to aid us in our selfish endeavours because all desire is simply that: selfish.
      And once we learn of our inherent selfishness and constant fight for senseless desires, we become aware of our present situation with a sense of gratitude, less fixated on the impossibility of fixing what cannot be made to mend, and less inclined to be envious, less honour-killing prone, less belligerent to protect religious values, etc.
      For some reason, call it logic perhaps, I find that brings much more peace than spending an eternity with outspread arms, begging a cryptic God to answer our unanswerable prayers, justifying His silence with confirmation biases (He works in mysterious ways ...), and having to grapple with why God would value some lives and toss away others in order for His "Kingdom come" (for example, how he hardened the hearts of King Saul and the Egyptian Pharaoh when it was perfectly clear they never meant to cause harm to the ones they've loved but as explicitly detailed in the Bible were made to be the bad guys by God himself) --- does that bring peace to you?
      It never sat right with me that God could call himself compassionate and yet cause humans to undergo so much trauma and tragedy for His own glory (literally, killing His own Son so that people will see how graceful He is??? How about no intentional killing of anyone?) And what of Sarai, who was so desperate for a child that she allowed the copulation of her handmaiden Haigar and her 100 year old husband Abram, only to have her child-barren desperation lead to God cursing humanity with the still-ongoing blood war between Jews and Muslims begatten by the separation of half brothers Ishmael and Jacob. Does this truly bring you peace, may I ask?

Unfortunately for everybody, after all this marvellous beginning(s) and past, rich with all sorts of miracles, all we have now, is the reality - the kingdom of Chaos, as they say in that gospels. Gnostics resonate with the eastern philosophies/religions... where a Guru (realised soul) can initiate the student to “realise” the divine within, and so connect with the universal divine , and ultimately merge with the source. Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed.
    For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is.
    We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.
    We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritan. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away.
    Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
    The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church.
    It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. If you believe in this message, help spread it in the name of Jesus Christ. God bless you!

      It wouldn't be too surprising if Hubbard wasn't inspired by the gnostic gospels, when he was coming up with his Xenu story and subsequently Scientology.

      The Greeks felt that way too, their pantheon wasn't even composed of well-meaning gods. Later someone proposed this dilemma: 1. God is great 2. God is good 3. Bad things happen. One of the above must be wrong. Which do you choose to discard? Removing 3 blames the victims, removing 2 is terrible, 1 means God is hapless or too distant to care about humans, like Crom.

    As an atheist, it annoys me when people use the word "agnostic" out of context. The colloquial definition is somebody who claims that we can not know and/or don't know about whether or not God exists, and what not. Obviously, the Gnostics were a very different group, and "agnostics" would thus be precisely the opposite, aka, everybody else.
    So the proper definition, without reference to the religious groups, as Brat suggests, would be Gnostic = possessor of hidden/secret knowledge, and Agnostic = not gnostic. The colloquial definition of agnostic is very misleading. So I avoid beating around the bush and just use "atheist," meaning "not theist."

    • @Baerchenization
      @Baerchenization 9 лет назад +7

      BlackEpyon Words mean what they mean, not what you construe them to be by way of analogy. How can you be mislead, since you have demonstrated that you know the actual meanings of the words? Also, before there can be an A-theist, A-gnostic, A-anything, there has to be a theist, gnostic, etc in the first place - so why do you start out with what "agnostic" means, and then claim gnostic, the word agonstic is derived from, is misleading? Confused much you are... Language is not static.

      +BlackEpyon The definition you hear from Bart in part two is so beautiful I adopted it for myself is: Agnostic is about knowing and if you admit you don't know if God exists. Atheism is about belief and if you don't believe that God exists. Bart says that because he is a scholar he prefers knowledge over belief so he identifies as agnostic. :)

    • @BlackEpyon
      @BlackEpyon 8 лет назад

      niv tom
      "Gnostic" was originally used to define a sect that ran parallel to ancient Judaism (and even crept it's way into Christianity in some denominations), who basically said that knowledge of the kingdom of heaven had to be revealed, it could not be learned. If you had to ask, you weren't in the know.
      I've almost certainly mis-characterized these guys, but the group is hard to pin down. Point is that the term "Gnostic," which you will notice that auto-correct always capitalizes, while intrinsically meant "having (hidden) knowledge" in reference to the hidden secrets of heaven, the context is different that what is used today.
      HOWEVER, this is beside the point. Who goes around asking if you KNOW if God exists? They always ask you if you BELIEVE, because in the faith, belief is more important than knowledge. Epistemologicaly, we are dealing with two different questions. Atheists who call themselves agnostics instead of atheist are dancing around the issue in an attempt to not seem as dogmatic as the religious claim we are. It pisses me off sometimes, because the religious go out of their way to claim that an atheist actively believes against God, and other such mischaracterizations.
