Great breakdown of the “why” you do it. Would like to see a little more depth on when one of the 3 is a shooter. Thanks coach

The first point of the video is all that matters to me here. I'm not too fond of Zone/Junk defense for teaching beginner's basketball so thanks for saying the point of the defense.

This is something to keep in your back pocket. Not a primary defense. I would only do this with older kids also.

Coach Good stuff... Curious everyone always says this is not a primary defense, but as a HS coach very few third best players are going to beat you.... do you know anyone who runs this as a primary defense?

      Hi Coach Kroupa,
I have not seen anyone play this as their primary defense. They usually run man and zone while mixing this in time to time. But if it keeps working I will stay in it. I teach man to man first as it teaches fundamentals, rotations, and communication best. Then I will add a zone and junk defenses to make us multiple defensively.
