these old movies are so much better than many of the programs produced today.
I agree so much that’s why I love to watch TCM
❤❤ I agree; have enjoyed them for a few weeks, especially interchanging the older with the new ones ❤❤
No s*** Sherlock😮
Agreed better days manners meant and spoke 😊😊😊
@@deenalight9271the accent is known as plum in the mouth. Aka BBC 1950s Recieved Pronunciation (RP) from the days when people were judged by such things as accent and expensive clothes rather than intelligence, skill and ability.
Even the Royal Family including the late Queen Elizabeth ll stopped speaking like this. As for manners this class of people termed the young girls the paid a pittance to as general servants as 'slaveys'. They reserved their 'good manners' for those equally rich or richer. The rest of us were often treated, as today, with contempt.
❤I use to rent these programs from the library and watch them OVER AND OVER AGAIN
3:43, "....I don't like wearing other chaps hats; it's a personal thing, like a toothbrush!"
I am always looking for stories of Sherlock Holmes I have not seen or heard. Glad I found it. ❤. Old black and white movies are my favorites. I would rather watch them,
Thats Lovie. Mrs thurston howell III from Gilligan’s island.
Ron Howard made the best Sherlock Holmes, this was filmed 10 years before I was born. I really enjoy it
Most of these im seeing for the first time.they are timeless.im 66 years now watching them on you tube
Another great episode
"I think of all the cups of tea you've had free in this house! " Poor Watson being put through the wringer in this episode, the indignity of having to wear another man's hat and coat, and then to be accused of murder haha. Basil Rathbone is my all time favorite Holmes, but I think Howard Marion-Crawford is the best Dr. Watson.
Mrs. Thurston Howell III
I love that this series was for al intent and purpose done by what amounted to an acting troupe. A group of actors each week playing different roles. We all get to play SH in discerning who they are in the episodes!
I also caught Mrs. Howell / Natalie Schaefer. That was ten years before her Gilligan's Island run. Good sport, what? LOL
I really appreciate all these wonderful films
I much prefer more modern interpretations. A favourite is Jeremy Brett and although I have only seen shorts on you tube the most recent updated interpretation looks brilliant. I read the original stories as well.
Ty! ❤
Ronald Howard played a clean and sober S.H. and I liked H. Marion Crawford as Watson.
I love your videos especially Sherlock Holmes.
I would love a old house left period style witjh heaters😊
thanks
5:28, Mrs. Howel from Gilligan Island.
That’s what I thought.
Eugene Decker, wonderful!
Hi love the quick movies
Take me bk to thses days i would have been england s DRwatson love him funny
Natalie Schaefer from Gilligans Island. Not seen her younger.
Lovey Howell from Gilligan's Island... my how young and lovely she was in this!
You can't beat the originals
Did Elaine Chelton get out of Prison and mary Thurston Howell to become Lovey Howell?
Are there going to be any more serials like captain America?
Was that Natalie Shaefer?

I dislike the portrayal of the pair as middle aged and of John Watson a qualified ex Military doctor invalided out of the military after a serious injury fighting in Afghanistan as an idiot. He was a very serious young man in the books.
They were both young at the start of the Hound of the Baskervilles. Holmes still a semi student looking for someone to share the rent and Watson a young man whose military career had left him with a small pension so looking for somewhere cheap to live.
Many thousands of young students etc know the situation very well.
