  • In this video we see morning operations on the Seaview Railroad in Davisville & Quonset, RI. 80 tonner 1667 is in charge today as we follow it around switching Crestwood Propane, NORAD (Port of Davisville), New England Waste Systems, BB&S, and Roy Corp (Crane rebar transload) in the Quonset Business Park. In recent years the revitalized rail in Davisville has been increasing its importance serving the growing business park combined with transloading to other parts of Rhode Island. Stay tuned for part 2 of this video showing the 80 tonner going out for the afternoon run.

Originally a 44 ton, the engine was rebuilt/upgraded in 1995 as an 80 ton and repowered with Cummins engines.

I find it funny that they placed the AC unit next to the exhaust. Though there really was no other space. Nice video!

It's fascinating that they are giving so much work the the 80 tonner! Do you know what year it was built?

Maybe I am missing something, is this 80 tonne only rocking one engine or have they changed how the exhaust works? I am use to seeing two stacks, one for each cummins 470HP... Did I miss something? Great Vid!

My bad. I stand corrected in my comment on the engine size - directly from the owner. The engine was a 65 ton upgraded to an 80 ton unit.
