@@precisionbrown6829 "tune" and "proper singing" are often used against country, bluegrass, and Native singers. Also against those cultures working in different scales. Singing isn't always about the notes -- it's also about the feel. Thanks to Native/African singers, country/bluegrass/jazz singers, we know about "talking songs" and "bent notes", "scatting" as well as working in contra-notes and rhythms. So many instruments and songs and methods and means of making music have been banned or damned. That's if you want to get all historical and technical. Meanwhile, it goes back to "feeling". Willie is part of a proud tradition from Texas -- as well as one of the great American songwriters. Um, you do "know" his credits, right? Before you talk about "tune" -- take a real listen. Good Gravy, we did get past this a zillion years ago, did we not?
@@victoriacross675 yeah I did listen a few times. Everybody sings or plays in a different key so the musicians all have to adjust to what key the singer sings in. I was just a little confused at first. It’s really good. Sometimes I speak a little too soon 💓

I was at this concert at Paradiso Amsterdam, it was great.. Before Willie started his show there was a support show in the small place at the first floor at Paradiso. It was a young Slaid Cleaves playing Amsterdam and enjoying Willie after he played his show. He said to me...You know Willie is just Willie...he is a star.
