mangonels are sitting ducks when villigers show up
Murder holes wouldve been the hero of this game
Murder holes vs rams? You often don't want murder holes, because castles shoot at the closest enemy, which is a ram, and you'd prefer it to shoot at other units
An important moment, though, was when Viper targeted the mangonel after his castle went up. If it survived, the rams would have been dead immediately. Can't say that Sebastian made a mistake because how often do people go for rams? That was 940 resources invested, and if the second mangonel had finished 15 sec earlier the castle may have survived.
man Viper has still next level APM, next level. Which is probably why he won here.

Crazy game, I can barely keep up watching let alone playing it. Good to see that even pro players have serious competition out there
Those cheap gather sites do come in handy in this type of games.

Viper: This is Fox, he is pain in my asshole. I use villagers to kill siege weapons, he use villagers to kill siege weapons. I put a castle up, he put a castle up. I kill a lot of his villagers, he resigns. Great success!

Viper: You see, I took that as a challenge.
Every time I see a match vs Sebastian is the same story: he goes agressive and put Viper in trouble then Viper goes full yolo counter attack, the game gets super messy and finally wins the game, but I've also noticed is getting harder to beat Sebastian, and this guy's APM is as fast as Hera easily. Super fun to watch.
Is Sebastian a newer guy, or another previous pro renamed?

Am I the only one who's noticed Viper ask about the Samuri food reduction every time he's played Japanese since the patch? I swear I've seen him play Jap 4 times since the patch and he asks about the Samuri change every time 😂

Actually a great game, multiple momentum swings, but definitely it was the cav archer and double down on mango that broke his initiative. Never underestimate the power of raiding an aggressive player.
All the Japanese I’ve ever needed living in Japan, I learned from AoE2.

How times have changed with live streaming.
Back in the days of Battlefield 2 our gaming team had ladder games and you could only listen in to the game. Each team had 1 player from the coms team that just ran around calling plays out radio style.
To think if casting and streaming was around back then how far things would have gone for that game.

I think Viper was so focused on the multiple concurrent battles going on he didn't recognize just how brutal his raids were when paired with the excellent job of containing his his enemy to a small part of the map. His opponent did a great job getting the castle down, but had no answer to another that ranged his woodline. Great game!
