I scroll and deliberate for too long on nearly every video in my timeline but the moment I see your content its almost an instant click. Clean concise title, presentation. I like your set, not to braggadocious. Even the sound is cozy and I'm not an asmr or audio stickler really. Just a cozy feeling overall. Chillin in the game office zone. I always like hearing about what you are playing as it spans multiple generations, genres and systems. Always fun and interesting, helps my brain make connections to games I might otherwise have forgotten about or maybe aren't really aware of. I don't think other creators get into their personal thoughts on a game as much and would choose to instead comment on whatever a game mag might feel the need to talk about, just parroted information you can obtain anywhere. Thanks for being a real youtuber and putting yourself out there. Best of luck with the backlog.
The way this comment just made me smile… Thanks so much for the kind words. It truly means a lot. My reason for making videos is exactly what you said. I just want a laid back/ chill space to talk about a hobby that I enjoy. Happy to hear that others can see that and appreciate it! Thank you!
i JUST finished house in fata morgana last night and it was an incredible experience. expertly written story. took me a little over 30hrs. i also have Persona 5 royal (steam version) on my list to tackle for this year. I only played vanilla version like 8 years ago so im excited to give royal a try. ive got yakuza 4 on my list of games in that series to tackle this year. stoked. that analogue pocket is beautiful btw. Love the variety of this backlog. Let's get it!
I feel like I'm towards the end of the game but I have no clue because I don't want to look up to see where I am. Trying to avoid spoilers at all costs. I will be so disappointed in myself if I don't buckle down and complete it. I left off right after I finished Kaneshiro's Palace (the bank). I love it but it's sooooooo long and I am one that gets distracted easily. The Pocket is my jam!! It's such a beautiful piece of hardware. Almost makes me want to start collecting again for the GBA/GB/GBC.
Dang you have so many bangers in here, and lots of log VNs and RPGs so best of luck to you 😅half of these games are ones I need to play as well so maybe I'll try to knock out a few of them as well. I haven't played an Ace Attourney game since the DS... Also love that sweatshirt!
Skyward Sword HD is sooooo good! I played it after Breath of the Wild and wasn’t sure if it was gonna be worth the time but it ended up being one of my favorite games on the Switch with no motion controls required. Awesome list, and great video as always!
Whoa!!!! That’s so awesome to hear. I will definitely get around to it this year. One goal that I have is to play through all of the Zelda games (except for the weird CDi ones). Can’t say it’s one of my favorite series without playing a majority of the games. I still have Zelda II, Majora’s Mask, Oracle of Ages left.
damn ive only ever beat 21 at the most. Nicely done! Im also glad to hear you are enjoying cyberpunk! its launch was pretty rough and i had a hard time finding people that actually enjoyed it. I loved tales of arise, the art is greaaat.
I totally remember all of the discourse around Cyberpunk when it was released a few years ago. They definitely made up for it with the updates and patches. It’s such an enjoyable experience now. Can’t wait to get around to Tales of Arise. I’ve been putting it off for far too long.
Great video as always! I’ve had Corpse Party for years on the PSP and keep meaning to play it around Halloween as well. For this year I want to complete a bunch of games I’ve always wanted to finish. Skies of Arcadia, Lunar, Rhapsody etc.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has put off Corpse Party for so long. Lol. Good luck! I have my fingers crossed that we get a Skies of Arcadia remaster. That would be so dope.
Your video inspired me to change how I approach my backlog a little, so I've made a list of about 20 games with a goal of just beating at least 10 of them, that way I have a nice big list of genres to pull from. Great list! Cyberpunk 2077 is at the top of my backlog list this year. Also, you've probably heard of them but if you like the Wario Land games, I recommend Pizza Tower, and Anton Blast
That is awesome! I'm a couple of years late but Cyberpunk 2077 really is a gem! Looks like it paid off waiting to play the game since it was riddled with bugs at launch. Plays like a dream now on the PS5 now! I have heard of Anton Blast and Pizza Tower. I have Pizza Tower on my Steam Deck and played a bit of it. It's so whacky...I love it. Didn't finish it though. I have Anton Blast on my eShop wishlist. I'll snag it when it goes on sale. Good luck with the backlog.
What a cool channel to randomly come across! I'm also planning my year out but yknow, best laid plans and all that...key is to be flexible but do your best. Over 50 games in a year is absolutely incredible btw, I've never done better than 31 in a year, I can't imagine averaging over 4 games beaten a month! Best of luck in 2025!!
I had a friend on social media as me how I was able to beat over 50 games in a year. That got me thinking and I have a video coming where I share my tips. Being flexible is ABSOLUTELY on my list of tips. To be fair, I'm not sure if I'll reach over 50 again. This was the first time that I've ever done it. I typically beat anywhere from 35-45 games a year. We'll see where 2025 takes us! Glad you came across the channel.
The problem with completing your backlog is sometimes there are so many life responsibilities.Even when you have time, you don't have energy to block in and focus on gaming. You get distracting on other things and don't have the will to lock in and focus, which gaming demands. For me, what helps is focusing on playing the shorter games first. Even if you're more interested in playing other games i force myself to play the short ones and get them done and then get to the other ones. Also very important. You must play consistently at least once every other day. Don't learn more than 3 days go by without playing
I know for a fact that I'm going to always have a backlog...and that's okay. It's never going to be complete. This is why I set out to make a goal to complete a handful of games that have been on my backlog for a while. I had a friend on social media ask me how I was able to beat 52 games last year so I plan on doing a video with a few tips that helped me complete my games. I totally agree with you on shorter experiences. I do find that when I've had a stressful day and I don't want to focus on anything big, if I play anything at all, it's typically something chill like Tetris or a platformer or even a cozy game. Nothing too taxing. Thanks for watching the video.
I just put together a google doc of any game i could think of that i have wanted to play. not every game i own but several whatever came to mind. different genres and platforms and then i have it so i can look to it when im struggling to find something to play. ultimately im keeping my goal of 2-3 a month on average. leaves room for a longer game to take a whole month and slot some little ones in there. just give myself options but try not to overwhelm myself. Im always thinking of more games and theres stuff i dont even know is coming out that i might be interested so i make space for that as well.
That's awesome. I keep a list as well but it's handwritten because I'm old lol. I actually want to get around to putting everything in Excels or Google Doc. We'll see how that goes. Good luck with the backlog.
Awesome video! Love that you have a list too! Yakuza 5 is supposed to be a long one and so I’ll probably get to it next year! Lots on here that I need to play soon and are on my list to play this year!!!
I played Corpse Party on my Vita (PS1 version) and that game is pretty messed up, but I did manage to beat it and got the good (if you can call it that) ending. It’s tough though because some of the things you have to do are not obvious to an extreme degree and ain’t no shame in using a non spoiler guide. Definitely play it with headphones on, it will freak you out.
I’m so interested in knowing how crazy it gets. I’ll definitely play with headphones. Trust me ain’t no shame in taking a look at a guide. Definitely don’t have the time or patience to be stuck for hours.
Great video. I had some time off to start the year and swear I’ve beaten more games in the first few weeks of the year than I have in the last few years combined lol.
Oh shit the Dishonoured series! I’ve been wanting to get into that for a long time, never even played the 1st one. I’ve got so many games to play that at this rate I’m not even going to get around to dying 😂. Trying to get back into gaming seriously, feels like I haven’t played any of the games as I got out of gaming for decades. Been loving trying to game regularly!
@ Yes! I love that you say therapeutic because I didn’t really think about that till more recently and how I’ve come to value this aspect of gaming. So especially needed in our crazy, scary, insane world right now too!
Mario Galaxy 2 is also on my backlog! I've been going through my games by system, so right now I've been playing my 3ds and wii games, and a couple PC ones. I've been letting the random number generator pick which game I play next for the majority of my time because I have a hard time choosing. This method's worked really well for me. :)
Good luck! Also I intend to complete tales of arise at some point. I limit myself to playing 2-3 games at the same time on ps5. 😊 Right now, i am playing biomutant, scarlett nexus, and banishers as a rotation. It's a grind, man. Play for an hour at least
Nice! I just mentioned Banishers in my latest video! I had a lot of fun with that one. I love the fact that you play 2-3 games at the same time. I'm usually like 3-4 all together. I know a lot of people don't believe in it but it works for me.

Mario and Luigi Brothership is what I am currently playing and have been since November next up is DKCR on switch this will be my 5th or 6th time playing DKCR but I love it and then I need to play Rain Code from my backlog. I imagine Pokemon Legends Z-A will get completed and I would like to finish my time at Sandrock from my backlog too this year.
So nice to hear from you!!! Enjoy the games. I picked up DKCR last week I’ll play it once I beat DKC (which I’m currently playing). This will only be my second playthrough! I have so many folks in my chat during streams excited about the new MH game. I might have to give it a go. It looks amazing!
The only backlog goal I've set myself for 2025 is to beat all 4 of the Trails of Cold Steel games. I'm already 37 hours into the 2nd game so way ahead of schedule. I will be taking a break to play Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in February though. After that I'll reassess things and see if I want to go onto Reverie and Daybreak, or save them for next year and get around to Fantasian or Metaphor instead.
Nice! I’ve only made it to III but I have all of them in the collection. It’s a special series that a lot of people kinda wrote off in the beginning. Happy to see that it’s making waves now.
@@StephsTooDef Yeah, I owned the PSP version of Trails in the Sky 1 since it was first released, yet I only beat it two years ago.
