Neither one of them is a row house. The window on the right is more narrow and a different style in the doomsday trailer and the chimneys are different. Also there is an additional small window to the left of the door in one of the shots - but not the other.

The suburbs of Washington, DC (especially in the 20s) have farmland. In fact, you can get from DC to a farm within an hour if there is no traffic. This is from actual personal experience of living in a suburb of DC, and traveling from DC to a farm multiple times a week for years, and knowing someone who has as well. ALSO it is NEVER established they live on a farm, even if you go off what is suggested; what IS suggested is he is DRVING THROUGH farm land (which is easily possible in the surrounding maryland area that has plenty of space thats looks exactly like that -poolsville, rockville, germantown in thosedays all had farm land in the 20s.) and then from that drive he arrives at his house. NOT ON farmland, but near farmland. In either case perfectly reasonable, becasue the surrounding areas have farmland, especially in the 20s.
