    Lukang Mazu Temple is one of the major Mazu Temples in Taiwan. In the early days ( we are talking about 300~400 yrs ago), immigrants from China farmed and fished for a living, and thus paying homage at temples became a daily practice as people prayed for safety, good health, and abundant harvest. This is why there are so many temples around Taiwan. Usually, shops would establish themselves around temples to make shopping easier.

    Really enjoyed that 3 minute intro. It's best to avoid any place like this on a public holiday weekend, always super busy.

      Cheers mate, I really enjoyed putting it together. It was super busy but well worth the little trip. Gonna try and go back when it's not a public holiday!

    另外,可以去大村採葡萄🍇

    鹿港小鎮,豐富的歷史和文化,許多很棒的小吃,但強烈建議不要假日去,人太多太吵雜。

      沒錯!我昨天在一個工作日去了那裡,那裡非常安靜。幾乎所有的商店都關門了!

    • @9593N
      @9593N 3 года назад +1

      哈....關門的商店應該只限於老街的部份,其他有名的小吃店應該都還是照常營業的!

    Lukang is the second oldest city. It started out as a trading port but as the canals gradually filled with sedimentation brought on by rain and tides, all the trade eventually rerouted to other cities. The Old Street is where the largest canal used to be.

    Brillliant intro as always. And the first video with subtitles; did you do those yourself or did you get someone else to do them? I didn’t spot any traditional characters so I’m guessing you did it yourself.

    • @YGZ
      @YGZ  3 года назад +1

      Glad you liked the intro, I enjoyed editing that one. it's easy to make such a cool place look good! I did the subtitles myself and probably will do until I can find somebody to do it for me.

    Yep the stable side of Camden market was always packed out, but plenty of free food given away by stall holders trying to sell their food, the opposite side were the canal side was burnt down a few years ago, I use to cycle along the canals and lock my bike near the locks and telephone boxes, cross over the road to the stable side, and buy some food ( lockdown has messed all that up now). This looks really colourful, and vibrant, everyone seems to be laid back and enjoying themselves. Watch out you have to attractive girls following you towards the end of the vid, and one of them is carrying a jackack Russell.

    • @YGZ
      @YGZ  3 года назад

      Yes, i lived on Camden high street for a while many years ago. it's a cool place but not where you want to be at the weekend. The place on film is very cool and I would definitely recommend going there but definitely on a quiet day! I did see the two girls behind me when i was editing, I never notice until I get back home and watch the footage lol. Quite a few people photobombed this one.

    The translation is not right. When you were saying that people in China pushing around in place like that, the Chinese subtitle translated it to “they queue up in China (without push).” - the meaning is opposite. 字幕翻譯不太對,當片中說像這樣的地方在中國會有很多推擠時,字幕卻是翻成在中國他們都會排隊,翻成了相反的意思。
