Nice review. I bought a 12v of another brand several months ago to put on my dump trailer (which I still haven't done). It was about $200 but does not have nearly the features as this one. I love watching this technology evolve. Keep the videos coming!
@@Jennifer-007 yeah I need to try this on my dump trailer. I guess my biggest concern would be cold weather usage. May have to go with a heated version.
Seems like a good battery for the price. I like the Bluetooth bms. I wish 24v and 48v batteries from the same brands were the same price per watt hour capacity. Putting together a 24v system now utilizing the 24v 800va and 1200va versions of that phoenix you have. Great little inverters. Just wish they were stackable and that there were larger VA units (2000-3000va). The weather has changed here in the PNW and our 18kpv and 15kw of PV is putting out 5-15% rated output. Wood stove time. I enjoy your videos. Sounds like you've been busy lately. Take care.
Yeah I wish the phoenix inverters had some just slightly larger versions. They are fantastic. That weather sounds terrible honestly. Is that just a passing weather pattern or is that here to stay till spring?
I bought one of these little ones because it fits under the seat where the lead acid batter used to go in my VW Eurovan obviously it will have to be charged a different way than the old battery. But I am curious about laying it on its side and why you would say you can’t lay it down one way but the other I’ll have to look through the manual but I couldn’t remember seeing anything.
Galvin, would you mind downloading the Overkill Solar App on to your phone, and seeing if you can communicate with the BMS of this battery? Interested in purchasing one, want to adjust a few parameters. Thank you, great review.
@@s.mendez7160 it’s not a JBD BMS in this. So the overkill app wouldn’t work. I think it’s actually a TDT BMS. I hadn’t heard of them before this. But either way you should be able to adjust any parameters you want with their app for this battery.
Nice review! It looks like your tear-down could’ve been easier had you removed the fastener caps and simply unscrewed those fasteners to remove the top.

I tossed one of my spare Battleborns into my dump trailer and it’s been working great!
Great video, great tear down… Looking forward to seeing you put that product pump/whore Will Prowse out of business!!!
Yeah the industry keeps improving. I think that’s largely due to competition. We are even seeing that in the inverter market. Which is awesome.

Appreciate the thorough review. This WattCycle battery looks like a game-changer.

I was entertained!
Thank you for the review
Amazing! High heat cut off and cold cut off. That's better than the bigger expensive models.
Yeah, it’s a hard price to beat with those features.

@@peterad1529 you wouldn’t want to lay the prismatic cells on the side that faces upside down.
@ I mean, that’s not really an answer. What problems arise when one would do this
Thank you for review. Did you found any information about the BMS manufacturer? Any close pictures of it?
Not sure. I believe it’s a TDT BMS. That’s why I hadn’t run across before.

so why didn't they include BT on the 300Ah version.. the 300Ah mini version is very beautiful .. check it out
Yeah I’d say they’ll probably transition over to BT for most their models.

Thanks. They really aren’t caps. They poured plastic over them. And that would have been hard to determine without tearing it apart first.
