I know how to win 1st in tournaments. Just join and do nothing at all. Sometimes the other player won’t reach you at all, sometimes you’re by yourself.
Hey @Soulrise Gaming! I've been checking your videos recently and watched the road to endgame series, poked around the guides I found on the compendium website and spreadsheets and all that. I must say, you and every other contributor to the guides, tools and optimizers helped me out greatly! I'm a returning player after a 2 year break (more like forgetting about the game for a while, to be honest) and while I remember being stuck at stage 5,000 (ish) back then, prestige after prestige, I've managed to elevate to 16,150 (just today, in the tourney) in 2 weeks after dipping my nose in the numbers once I got back now, give or take a day or two. Just wanted to put this out there, for all the non-believers - build guides, optimizers and calculation/personal judgement take you much, much farther into the game! And I remember you saying in one of the road to endgame episodes that the chance for someone to just put points and relics into the right skills and artifacts on their own, without following a guide or optimizer, is really close to non-existent. I guess it's true, with calculations being done down to such small numbers! And here's a story and a question for ya - in today's tourney I battled with a worthy opponent for the 1-st place. At elapsed 4:00 he hit stage 16,003 and left it there. At that time I prestiged a few times and managed to only get to 15,550~ and left it for the night. Got back this morning, blew up all my perks and buffs and struggled my way to 16,016. At elapsed 23:00 I noticed he started moving up, so he was on and noticed me climbing! That's where the battle began. Blew another set of perks and buffs, put the pet quest power ups on and beat his stage by a margin of 75 stages. I guess he prestiged or something, cuz he stopped climbing for a bit. Elapsed 23:35 - the real battle was on. Me at 16,075 and him close behind. I was climbing slowly and he was eating through the stages. I honestly screeched when I saw that! Elapsed 23:59 I end up at stage 16,152 and he ended at 16,087 (based on what the tournament recorded and has shown). Undisputed winner! But alas, even though that's what the tournament said I somehow got the rewards for #2 place?! I've already messaged GameHive to enquire, but I was hoping to get the opinion of other active players - I know the tourney updates once every 30 or 60 seconds (I know it's not constantly following), but for a end-of-tournament report to show something and the player getting something else in their rewards... is that even possible? Delay in reporting? Have you heard or had such a thing before? (And the question's to anyone reading this, really. Hope you enjoyed the story :P )
theres a thing called phantom pushing in tourneys, basically it looks like your stats update in tourneys each time you click on the tourney icon, its updates also at end of tourneys when it closed and they calculated a winner, but that means if you never click on the tourney item then the other players wont see any change in your stages untill you finish. This is called phantom pushing, so what people are doing are looking at the stages when they first join then pushing as much as poss without looking, this makes it hard for other players to see how well your doing, but this is a double edge sword as you dont know if either so you can be first and over push or still be under?
They are reduced lower near your max stage, think from 90 or 95% of your MS it goes down, cant remember exact number but its so you dont splash through your MS. Without that reduction you could easy splash through your MS each run and level through much much quicker which the devs dont want you to do 😁👍

It is because your Titan Counts are too high, if you level up too fast and let your Titan counts go past say, 200, then you won't be able to skip until your talents pick up. Camp for a bit and get Mechanized Sword and Anniversary Platinum to mitigate that problem, being in a clan close to T4 to increase your Arcane Bargain will definitely help as well.

Hey soulrise quick question! why did the number of stages I skip with my thundership and companion suddenly decrease once I reached 78k?
