I would argue that the T-80UD is more worth it even if you don't get the premium time and GE with it. It's at 10.0 which acts as a safety net. There's alot of other premiums around that br like Leo2 123, M1 KVT, Wolfpack, etc. Most of which you can pen very easily while they will have to aim for weakspots. T-80UD also has the Kontakt-5 which means if you get uptiered to 11.0, a Fuji or M1A1 won't go through your front plate like a hot knife through butter (T-72AV, T-80B, etc). No thermals can be worked around and I would say helps players not rely on it and instead get better at spotting enemies with their Mk1 eyeball.

If ur an experienced player the 4kmph reverse is almost irrelevant The T80UD is great I bought it with coupons I received through luck though bc it is expensive
People have a wrong understanding of why these tanks are released, if you don't have the Russian techtree, you can grind with it you don't pay $70 for the same tank with better thermal imaging, you pay to have a reasonably good tank that will allow you to research the entire tree. this is not intended for people who already have the T-80u and have to pay to get a slightly better one

Turret armor composite should be diffrent in the UE1 same one as the T-80UD which gaijin fucked its turret composite up by using the same one as from the T-80U which is wrong
you forgot to mention the GUN HANDLING, it has top tier gun handling unlike all other t80s that arent the BVM, i honestly say it is WORTH it just because of the gun handling
I will rather spend 70 dollars on leo2a4m cuz in the end of the day its unique cuz it still a leo 2a4 but with armour package somewhat equivalent to 2a7 with gen 2 thermals and a round which can pen more than dm43 rather than a copy paste vehicle
If you don't have the T-80UK, or don't have it grinded out yet, then possibly. I you haven't ground out most of the USSR tree, then you'll want to get it too. Otherwise I'd pass. I've grinded out the whole tree, and really would only buy it for the title and decal, and even then, I'm not going to spend $70 USD for it.
