Did the pyrethryn concentrate smell of kerosene? I got some from Tractor Supply for livestock. The kerosene smell goes away in a day or so. worth not getting eaten by bugs. Thanks for the video. I think the kerosene is used to break suface tension so it will soak into livestock hair. and my pants too .)
I had the same experience with the smell that went away. I agree about the biting insects. I have not been bitten by even 1 tick since wearing treated clothes.
All I can say is it is "Permethrin SFR Termiticide & Insecticide QUART 32 oz 36.8% Permethrin " purchased on Walmart online. I do not know all the uses for this product.
I'd hang the clothes on the fence and spray on a fine mist of the pyrethryn (pant legs and shirt sleeves only) with a pump up garden sprayer, even if it didn't last the whole season. I just couldn't bring myself to wear saturated clothing. I'm a chigger magnet so I've bought the spray-on cans in the hunting-fishing section at WM, but after reading directions and label I didn't use it.

I live on a large Farm and really can't go anywhere here without getting ticks on me daily not sure why they are so bad 30yrs ago they weren't like this. I find you can't do anything without relentlessly battling all the bug bites and Deet is not effective after 2 yrs I finally see the info on Permethrin and no Farm stores seem to sell this. I looked at you video and now see all kinds of research on this. You would think with lyme disease this would be the first solution given to the public and readily available. Thank you for the video on this. I hope it will be as effective as research states
@@dominickbuccola5117 Don't spray the cat then. If you live on a farm ticks are a huge problem along with a number of other biting and stinging bugs. When the bugs hold you prisoner to your home then the cats can go

So does it get into your system if you sweat in treated clothes?
Only if the clothes are not dry after treatment.
Once the clothes are completely dry, they are safe to wear even if sweating.

NOTE: Not toxic to most mammals,...But Highly Toxic to Cats,...For some reason Cats cannot metabolize Permethrin
