You mention you'd like to use this as a vertical monitor, but can't; Usually you can configure that in your video card settings or drivers on the computer end, not on the monitor end. You should be able to tweak the settings in the driver details on Windows, and use this vertical after all. Maybe look for a VESA mount that will fit those four holes in a square pattern on the back of the monitor, and get it sitting properly vertical.
ruclips.net/video/hU218Frv6sA/видео.html this is for the the cfls not working it says a wire has broke off you can solder it back on the use hot glue to insulate it and the light should work it says it is also for if the screen comes on for a few seconds then goes off...
hey i have the same monitor, the screen lights up for a sec then goes dark.. when i turn off the screen and turn it back on it does the same comes on for two sec and goes dark.. what do you think it is??? thank you for your help
The only part of this that bothered me the most is how many fingerprints and finger oils you got all over the actual LCD. I'm sure those oils, over time, will darken and turn brown, and be very noticeable on websites with white backgrounds.
Thanks you
Thanks. Very informative and I will fix my 2905m which just started flickering.
My monitor has the same clicking noise at one corner from time to time, now I know what causes it. thanks

If it already had a stand that would allow vertical I would have kept it, but I sold it already.
