The Makers Cask Strength is so under rated. With this one, I don't feel a need to hunt for Weller 107 (although I'd still pick one up if found). It has a very similar profile and drinking experience.
Great show as always! I hate to say it but, I have such a hard time getting past the Rare Breed when I'm shopping. That's not to say that I don't have an Eagle Rare, or would never consider the Wild Turkey 70th Anniversary but, pound for pound, Rare Breed is always a heavy weight contender! Cheers!
I just bought and tried Even William 1783 because i saw it on one of your old videos that I cant find now but yea, its a decent pour. I need some budget pours in my collection. I know theres several good budget pours which I am slowly finding. I can easily like an $80 bottles, its a skill to find the budget gems.
WTRB is my fave. Would have been interesting if you had included WT 101 in this mix. WT had to be mindful of price with the 70-year release to even try to compete with the recently released Jim Beam 7-year, which is priced closer to the WT101 and WT81.
Wow really. Do you taste often? I get peanut mostly on Jim Beam and Heaven Hill but occasionally on WT. Have you seen the Whiskey tasting wheel? Helps narrow down flavors bourbon-whiskey-and-rye.com/bourbon-flavor-wheel-download/
MM CS and WT RB are simply unbeatable at their price point IMO.
Love my 70th Anniversary bottles. I love the Bardstown Origins BIB, Green River FP along with the WTRB and Four Roses single barrel in the $50 range.
Wild Turkey 70 remarkable! excellent bottle I backed up
Love you guys! I’m gonna be on the lookout for that WT70 for sure. Cheers!
New Riff single barrel barrel proof. Uncut, unfiltered. Amazing
I would've thrown in Green River FP or New Riff SiB. Good blind. Being a WT fan, can't wait to grab the 70th this week.
You might as well grab two if you can. It’s pretty darn good, especially at that price.
My tastes are inline with Jamie . Great show guys. Appreciate y’all .
Old Forester 1910, Wild Turkey Rare Breed and Bardstown Bottled in Bond. Honorable mention Bakers 7.
Heaven hill bottled in bond would be my $50 pick
Ewww I hate that bottle... it's stale and harsh... nothing sweet or smooth at all.... everything here crushes it easily
All great bottles @ $50 👍
I can’t believe people are sleeping on the WT 70th anniversary. It’s so damn good!
Even when there is a wild turkey Kentucky spirit single barrel for a bit more???
Yep. I have Rare Breed and Kentucky Spirit. 70th wins.

Was expecting the Green River Full Proof but then again the Proof In this blind would have stuck out. Cheers 🥃
The green river should have been in and neither WT should have been. RB is $60 now and the 70th is a limited bottle
@@macville82Our local store has RB for $52.99. Prices will vary state to state but we base our videos in our market.

Enlightening video! Am I the only person that noticed Jaime's #3 and #4 were switched?
I noticed as well.
Not sure what you mean? Watching it back now
Watched it back and nothing seems to be switched.
@@Beyondwhiskeyrow It doesn't really matter, but if you go to 10:55 you will hear it. Great video keep it up guys!
Just got one bottle today. Maybe I should buy a couple more.
Just left the WT distillery 2 days ago..... 70th was not there for sale. Only expensive pours .... ugh. Purchased the Rare Breed PSSB
MM usually does well in blinds
Yes!
the best $50 or so is 13th Colony
Have never got peanut or Flintstone vitamin taste in any Whiskey/Bourbon 🤔

Frey Ranch Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey would fit well in this as well, it's one if the smoothest 90 proof whiskies I've had, it's my favorite!
Came to say this. Redo this with Frey ranch in the mix. I would like to see how it fits in this grouping.
@@Hacky2447 Only whiskey in my collection that I have 2 bottles of :D
Jaime... Whiskey Taster. I want this title too
@@ForgotMyDemonName I had a hard time finding it myself.
Really surprised you both picked the 70th Turkey over Rare Breed.
You mixed up the 3rd and 4th place!
I’m trying to figure out where we mixed up the places?
@@Beyondwhiskeyrow 10:55 in the video. It doesn't really ruin it or anything.
