Hello Lucia! I found this video because I heard you sing in another video, really like your voice (I love singing too). I was born and raised in North China too ( Beijing and Xi'an), and I have been living in the U.S for 9 years. So I can totally related to everything you talked about. 😊 You and Jason are such a perfect match!
Hi Lucia, so glad that I have randomly found your video. Thank you for sharing and I love your smile! I totally feel you...I came to the states after I graduated from college. More than 10 years has passed by and I have built a wonderful life here in OC with a loving husband and my two precious furry babies...At the age of 24, I had to relearn a lot of things (how to eat, how to talk, how to interact with people, how to express myself, how to do certain things, etc.) ...but I truly enjoy my life here. I’m glad I made the decision to come here and to stay here...I am happy that you enjoy your life here too. Wish you all the best! Xoxo
Color Your Day ✌️I have 2 fur baby too
Love love love this episode 😘😘😘😘😘😘 “you can always try harder, but don’t deny yourself”❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm Korean in Kentucky and I definitely understand about how you ended up coming to US because for me I just came here back in 2000 with my older brother and attended middle school and he went to high school. I definitely do understand your situation well in that sense
Loved your story! So happy to have you here!
So crazy! I was also sent here by my dad when i was 16 years old just after middle school(from china)lol at first I resented him for doing that, i missed my family and friends so much, i wanted to go home, i would cry myself to sleep every night lol long story short im so glad my dad did what he did, i have my own family now and everything worked out just fine. ☺️
Rly wanted to be like you guys. I kinda want to immigrate to the US but now the queue is just so long 😿😿
I always love watching your videos!! You really are an inspiration! It would be great if you could do a video where you are speaking Mandarin! Defo
I’m from Tianjin and I live in France since I was five 😊 Nice to meet you Lucia 🥳 (天津话)哈哈
I couldn't tell you were from China. My niece also came to US for her middle school. Now she is about to graduate from nyu. I hope she could melt to here as well as you do. Your style is just amazing
LUCIA I LOVE YOUR PERSONALITY AGH also same last name squad hehe
What a beautiful smile! It must come directly from your heart. ❤
You are amazing Lucia!
You are an inspiration. Keep it up! Thanks for sharing.
i agree i was born here in the us and even though english was my second language i still to this day still mess up words even though i live here all my life and finish school
Perfect...😊
Thanks for your sharing. It’s very inspiring.
As someone who watches your videos I always thought you were American, I never heard an accent until this video.
Thanks for sharing Lucia ☺️ I’m an ABC (American born Chinese) and experienced a lot of cultural ignorance too (like being embarrassed of eating fried rice at school instead of PB&J)
Never be embarrassed of bring Chinese or eating fried 🍚
Oh I’m from Tianjin as well !
Wow I thought you are ABC. You are amazing. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Lucia!so confident and gorgeous!
We are curious because we are taught not to trust the media, so we question what we know about china and the people. Loved the video, thank you..
Wow I thought Lucia was born and raised in the US. I moved to the US when I was 14 too, now been here for 5 years
I like the fact that you say US and not "America" America is a CONTINENT!
Sweetest encouragements ever❤️💕
You are so pretty!
beautiful, amazing video
You're so pretty! ❤
Reading all the comments just makes me feel like there are a lot of people that felt the same way. Came here when I was 17 and had a boyfriend back home and had so many friends. Was homesick for a while like everyone else, but no regret now, time flew and here I am, 13 years later, married with 3 adorable kids, living in a small house but cozy and it feels right, it feels like home and i love being able to pamper myself from my hard earned money
I’m Tianjiner in Australia. 😁
Your subtle accent is so fucking beautiful and charming queen!
And when I WAS 14 my dad made a radical decision to move to Tianjin 🤣 but now I live in US as well almost 10th year. World is such a small place now
Relatively new fan. You are now a major internet celebrity the most beautiful girl on RUclips. Congratulations on all your success and marriage.
Love ya Lucia 🥰🥰😍
Welcome to America. I am not one to discriminate against people, we are all human first, then our ethnicity comes second
Your accent is okay. I do caught some non-native pronounciations. But as long as you can present yourself perfectly, accent doesn’t really matter. One no need to fake it, too. We respect american and we want to communicate with them in the language they understand. Just be yourself 😊
Thanks alot for sharing ur exp.
All the best from 🇵🇰

All the best Jason and Lucia .
Keep up your good work. You can be the next Lucy Liu!
Pronunciation (correct): This is the standard way to spell the word that refers to how a word or language is spoken.
Pronounciation (incorrect): This is a misspelling of "pronunciation."
Either way your English is excellent🙂
Love it! Very Chinese!
Agree with the pizza part!!!!
Be proud of your accent.
Wow I just came across Lucia on 小紅書 today and looked up all her social media accounts lol. Loooooove her personality ❤️ Honestly, I can definitely tell that she's not an English native speaker but she has great great great accent already. The only incorrect pronunciation is actually "proNOUNciation". 🤭 Cute though!
OMG! I came to US in 2009 and I was 12
Tianjiner in Toronto here 😊
Your husband sing really good. And funny when he does songs in a funny way. How did he be so good?
its because they sent you to Dallas instead of a place with a large Chinese community. if you first went to LA or NYC it would take longer to get where you are in fluency. Best way to teach people a language is to immerse them in it kinda by force. Wanna learn spanish quickly? Go live in a place that only speaks spanish. Bet you will pick it up fast.
listening closely i can tell you are not native speaker. just something in the speech. i used to do sales and conversed with a lot of people from all over the world and i could guess where they were from 8 out of 10 times.
Wish you a nice and prosperous life in America.
who cares whether you can tell shes not a native speaker. moron
Damn 10 years and you cut off the accent. So good
Umm. Do u need a hearing aid? She still has a Chinese accent. There's nothing wrong with that.
Jojo Jo there’s nothing wrong with having a accent but you have to give her props for doing such a good job of getting rid of majority of the accent. I been living here in America since I was 4 years old. Her Chinese accent is 99% gone. You know how hard of a task that is just give her props.
Jojo Jo why so salty ?
Jojo Jo yes she still has the accent. She said “backgron”. Nothing negative but it is still there 😊 Prob she still speak chinese daily, as well
@@JJ-yu6og yeah i definitely can recognize it, but she's done a good job getting rid of most of it
Yes you have accent but it’s so cute!
Very beautiful💛
That is a great tip
You’re a real beauty
can you do more videos on your lifestyle!
I can't handle her smile...😅
Can you do a makeup tutorial?
can you drop a workout video sis!
How do you stay in the state ?
No visa problem?
none of your business
I think you are one of those people who are good with learning language. You have minimum accent and you speak English fluently.
I did mistake with grammar too :D
Hey now nothing wrong with dallassssss
Hey where are you lovely couple we haven't seen a new video in 6 months
lmao never forgive someone who hurt you no matter if that’s your family members. Interesting, definitely wanna hear more of that.
I wish to be sent to us too lol 🤣
Hi
Hi
Microaggressions are as common as the sunshine.
You have Cute accent
First
@Son just knock me out
Just knock me the fuck out
Oh, we the same with ESL. It was horrible quality. It would have slow you down.
would you say you'r' more of an introvert?
So you are 25 now😄
God! I am taking apush this year and struggling hhhhhhhaaaaaa
I didn't see her answer any questions?
which is why people in the united states saying that grab something to eat. not fork a pizza, chopstick a pizza.
came straight from insta haha
I think your decision to say that someone harms you they should never be let back into your life so to speak I think that takes intelligence to figure that out
You do have an accent for sure but it is very minimal and sometimes almost unnoticeable. I would say you sound more like second generation chinese as far as accent goes but that's just my opinion.
Why most of the moments are focusing on her accent?? This isn’t a Let’s-Learn-English channel, right??
what's ur view of freedom and liberty ? what do u know about the 1st and 2nd amendment?
I’m very curious the status of her visa?
Does anyone have an idea? I see a lot of Chinese RUclipsrs live in US, wonder what kind of identification status are they? Is being RUclipsr granted to be stay in US permanently?
Jiayi Sun
Jiayi Sun

do you know the 1989 june 4 tiananmen square massacre in beijing?
Do you know the Indian massacres in North America? Specifically, a Colorado territorial militia’s slaughter of Cheyennes at Sand Creek (1864) and the army’s slaughter of Shoshones at Bear River (1863), Blackfeet on the Marias River (1870), and Lakotas at Wounded Knee (1890)? This is a video that has nothing to do with any of that, if this is all you care or know about China, you should probably go back to school and learn the world history again , and you’ll see every country has similar incidents in the past.
You are beautiful all that, but don't be so extremely pride of yourself.
Ioip
So u r born in 1995 or 1994?
u sure sound more like a Singaporean-Chinese rather than American or PRC-Chinese.. :D
Larry Low Loong Wii lolol Singaporeans aren’t this tall.
@@VChinese99 🤣🤣🤣
She doesnt add la at the end of every sentence, and she sounds like an american dude, dont know what you r talking about
chinese dream is to getting out of china and fly to america
USCIS need to be caution
well, I have to be a critique to push you to be a more sophisticated English speaker(don't think my opinion matters to you tho) I would rate your speaking at 8 out of 9(IELTS standard). The entonation and pronunciation are perfect, but the sentence is too concise in general and the vocabulary selection could be more sophisticated. When you answer certain deep questions such as racism, ignorance or the ideology, I certainly assure a native Englihsh speaker would have a more well rounded answer instead of just touching the surface level (it may due to factors such as time limit and video edtion etc)
I noticed the same thing in myself. I think I am fluent when answering most questions but now I'm in grad school and I struggle with incorporating more sophisticated vocabulary into my own speech. And I guess because we, as non native speakers, tend to use whatever words that come to mind when speaking, it's harder to convey deeper thoughts even if we do have them.
Do you know any good methods to improve on this? We would really appreciate it if you could share more about your opinions!
