Brad, chin up! Appreciate your honesty but keep working through it. You will figure it out! I am thankful for you and Kyle and have learned a lot from both of you. I root for both of you like you're both my kids. Keep at it!
Always appreciate your honesty, Brad. I have faith in you, and so do a lot of your fans. I heard a few words of wisdom a while back from a great coach who said “when you feel like you’re in a slump, not getting any better, etc., just relax and enjoy the game for a while.” You’ll win a PBA title before you know it.
With you being in Milwaukee there are two deserts to try: one is called custard the other is called a Kringle. Custard is a creamer ice cream. Brad isn't wrong. The game is absolutely designed to make you feel bad. I've been in a massive slump as well and there has been weeks I've wanted to sell all my equipment and just quit. This slump I'm in has been the worst of my life. Like 3 months long. Absolutely as far as ball producers. Most balls are very VERY similar. Just change the color, the name, and a tiny bit of the core and surface and they can go on doing that infinitely and make $. It is kind of a scam tbh.
You need to turn pro. To do so you either needed to cash in a PBA regional tournament as a non-member. Have a 200 average or better for the most recent league season with at least 36 games bowled. Or...Have a 190 average or better in a PBA experience league or sanctioned USBC sport bowling league, with at least 36 games bowled. Yes they get free balls whenever they want. And it is a big advantage compared to guys not getting sponsored. A new ball gets more pin action compared to an older ball for example. I have always said the guys you see on TV are better than most.......mainly for their ability to adjust to different lane conditions. But getting new balls everyday is a HUGE advantage.
