Either I was gone, or my teacher didn't explain it very well at all. Of course I find this AFTER the quiz with this form of question. Also glad it found this. :)
I agree - He's awesome. I don't know why so many math teachers don't explain or teach it well or offer help outside class. My goal is to be a math teacher and I would want my students to understand and succeed. So many it seems use their math class to basically show off being good at something difficult when a good teacher takes something difficult and attempts to make it understandable. When I was in school the students who didn't understand fell behind quickly because of this and were turned off math and claimed they were 'stupid' in math - There's no such thing as that..... It's like learning the guitar and takes a good teacher/mentor and practice, practice, practice. They were just discouraged and gave up.
Brian McLogan there is a direct answer for this using SciCal or a shortcut but i forgot what was it. its kinda divided by to i forgot can u teach me? 😭😭
I'm a junior high school student and I missed this topic because I was sick that day:< this topic was given on tuesday (march12) and wt*😩 tomorrow is our final exam but i still can't understand this topic because no one would gonna help me (myLUnGsisdYinG). I'm so thankful because you're here to teach us on how to get the law of cosines!!🤗💕
I am currently a college student who is taking math90(İntro to College Mathematics) which is mandatory in my program. Thanks to you I've learned math in one college semester with zero math background.I want to say thank you, wish I had a math teacher like you! For the students who do not appreciate your effort, ı want to say they do not know how fortunate they are . Thank you !
Thank you very much for this lesson, understandable explanation and you know what you’re talking about. Learned more in 4 minutes than 50 minutes in my precalc class thanks so much
this is explained 100x better than my professor, like he just works the problem and trys to explain after, where you explain what your doing. thank you so much!
I'm 6th grade and I'm already learning this. I just felt like this is the only right video I can find since the other videos from other youtube channels I don't understand. It's really helping me on Geometry. You're providing me and all young people like me a really bright future. Thannnks! ⭐
Thank you so much! I kept on getting domain error because I was doing one of the steps wrong, but your video helped me realize that! Thank you so much!!! :)
Your best video of trig laws by far!!! Thank you. You are like a language teacher who can demystify math. You rival sal from khan academy. You both very good but I think you win.
My teacher wasn’t teaching this properly, so I left the video call (I’ll be getting in trouble for that) now i’m given a test paper on sine and cosine rules. Thanks to this guy I’m clear on sine and cosine rules. Now we’ll see if my teacher gives me bad grading.
Wish I could bring you back to my high school days. This was a great tut. I'm doing CAD and needed an angle on something. No protractor, but I wrote these steps out in C# and now I can just plug numbers in. Thanks! This was fun!
This is the beauty of the Internet despite some problems it creates... in the past if you wanted to know how to do something be it fixing your brakes, carpentry topics... literally anything... you had only two places to go a) a book or b) hope you have friend/family who both know how to do something but also are not jerks and willing to share and teach you how. In my days as a math student, the text books were not the best at explaining WHY they did something - They just did it or skipped a step you still need to know and as a result you were lost to how they got to their answer - On top of that I had smug teachers and classmates who understood it who instead of showing somebody like me how it's done they left ones like me in the dark while they bragged, felt cocky, and basically had a big pissing contest over their expertise in math and enjoyed the fact they were good at something others weren't - Screw them. Thank God for guys like this teacher and the Internet because some of the best examples and teachers/professionals of many disciplines are willing to share their gift and help
Idk why my teacher is making me do this “so called review homework” when I’m a sophomore in math 2?! I never even learned law of sines!!! Idk what a cos, tan, or sin is! Ugh 😫 Btw the corona virus closed down all schools so I really have no one to help me out on this:(
Hi sir! Thank you for such wonderful videos! I have found a much shorter way to find the angles if you know the sides! Is there any platform I could discuss it with you on? Please reply Thank you

time: 5:33 - I get 76/-144= -.5429 but after that, no matter what i pump in I can not come up with an angle of 122.88 degrees. I used SIN COS TAN ASIN ACOS ATAN, with radiant and without, nothing close to your answer. You magically pumped this number into your calculator and got this answer. So this is where the whole thing fell apart for me.
Omg.. you have explained this so well.. it's so simple to solve.. and you helped me understand what the inverse thing is all about -I like the tip you used about finding the largest angle first.. it is the simplest and most accurate way to find all angles. I enjoy your teaching style. :)
I just started statics (not statistics) in college, and needed a refresher. After an hour of frustration, I realized the 2ab part of the equation was not a common variable with the first a^2+b^2. Dang order of operations threw me off for a bit ,which I never thought would happen after highschool 😅 Anyways, great explanation! This helped a lot :)
For the problem I'm doing, I got 2.14=cosB, but you can't do cos^-1(2.14) because it says error. What do I need to do to resolve this problem? I followed all of the steps you did. What am I doing wrong?
My teacher didn't feel the need to explain this and just gave us an example to copy down. Glad I found this. Thanks
sorry to hear about that, but happy this video was able to help

Ad before this video: Are the RUclips math videos from 7 years ago really helping?
Me: yes, yes they are
Study pug did seem appling but free youtube is way cheaper
The laws of math have changed every day since RUclips was invented. Thankfully, Study Pug keeps up with the times.
